Ask Mod Face next time he's on. I'm sure he is/was one at SJP.

I'm certain you don't need anything formal.

You have to face the crowd and not look at the game. Reason enough to not bother <ok>

Seems to me as if you need to be able to know the stadium to direct people and other than that just stand there and watch the crowd. If anything starts kicking off, security and the Police get involved anyway. You just need to stop people with beer and smoking and stuff by the looks of things.

My mate stewards at the Dons, he's really nothing special- besides you do a sweet **** all but watch the crowd. He gets paid £30 per game which isn't too bad in an hourly wage perspective.

You can get a job as a steward at SoS but only if you are an old man or a woman.

I was a steward at SJP for 4 years before I got my season ticket. Im guessing each club will have their own policies with regards to qualifications etc but at NUFC you didnt need anything apart from a clear CRB check. You get around 7 weeks worth of training at one night a week which afterwards you recieve an NVQ Level One in Spectator Safety. Its a decent job to get if you cant afford tickets to the match I enjoyed my time as a steward worked with a good team. Good luck though if you apply hope you get it.

I suppose if your are not interested in football and love looking at crowds that's a bonus.
