Leicester winning the prem is gonna rock the apple cart and has got feature highly in major sporting upsets/suprises.

SAFC winning the in 73, as we were supposed to get a battering.

Greece winning the Euros (nee idea what year)

Tyson getting pummeled by that Buster Douglas fella.

Tiny little village, no bigger than mine, winning the Italian League back on the 80's or 90's.

I think it was called Chievo(?)

Aye, we did, in 1949 . . . . Coco would have been in his 30s then, and he would have been upset :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Chievo have never won Serie A. I think you're thinking of Hellas Verona who won it in 1984-85. Chievo, which is technically a suburb of Verona, play in the same colours as Hellas and share the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi with them. Hellas have always been the bigger club and when they won Serie A had some world class players, like Preben Elkjaer Larsen, one of my all time favourites <ok>

Bad guess on the name then Norton.

There was a team won it 20-30 years ago where the town just has 3,000 residents though. I'd put my mortgage on it!

Hellas are the smallest club to win it in the last 40 years. I reckon you're thinking of Castel di Sangro (pop. 5000) who became the smallest club ever to get in to Serie B in 1996.

I honestly don't think anything can beat what Leicester have done. This isn't a one off result or achievement over 90 minutes, this is a relegation tipped club with an unfancied manager winning the Premier League whilst losing only 3 games thus far. I cant see anything like this happening again in my lifetime. Well done them....jealous as ****!

The idiots 'down south' think that anyone north of Leeds are either Georgies or Jocks, though, Whitey, and Tim Healy will have told the TV people that West Auckland was a part of the Georgie Nation, 'cos he's a twat <doh>

I like his part in 'Benidorm' though :emoticon-0105-wink:
