I wondered when you would be able to turn the Premier League thread into La Liga...and here it is, right on cue!

Always reminds me of the Molly Sugden sketches from Little Britain...

 

I'm rather hoping that results lead to our game against Spurs still mattering a great deal to them.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! Maybe his agent is urging him to move club so is testing the water to see if Chelsea are really interested in developing him further.

 

That is scandalous.

 

Another way of looking at it, I suppose: being at Chelsea stands a good chance of seeing his career stagnate, and perhaps he knows it. If he's going to spend the next four years being shuttled around on loan, rather than leaving in a year to a team that might play him, that time better be well compensated.

 

If it's the same lad I'm thinking of, he has been concerned that he won't get a chance at Stamford Bridge. If that is true, the money should be irrelevant...unless he hopes a high wage will mean they really want him. Wouldn't bet on it....Chelsea always willing to waste money. He is about to make a very important decision.

I do like Tom Hanks, but it is interesting you say "The guy you just can't help but like..." I always felt he got a lot of stick for some of his roles. I'm glad if that is not the case and I had that wrong.

 

I bet it is the money!

 

No idea whether we can keep him ... because agents will always be looking to cash in ... I'm hoping they will ALL stay for next season's campaign tbf ... one thing for sure ... if we do win it and there is a movie it would be better to be about the whole football club spanning two season's rather than just about Jamie Vardy ... Mahrez's story is equally incredible ... read a really good article ages back now all about his formative years growing up in Sarcelles his father's influence etc (he died when the lad was 15) ... sure I posted a link on our board - I'll post it if I find it ..

When he first came to Leicester the coaching staff used to have practice games where the 'ref' would not blow if Mahrez was fouled - to toughen him up as he would go over at the slightest touch - he is now far more robust than when he first came ... the other thing was that he really did not know how to take a throw in ... they don't have them in street football

Not that I really care, but why do Leicester always play before spurs? Is there a reason I've missed? Seems odd.

 

probably sky hoping or thinking Leicester will slip up (so they televise), then they hope spurs will take advantage (again by televising it afterwards!)

 

... to give Spurs the constant advantage of knowing what they need to do ...

 

Ah okay,that's what I was thinking myself, just thought I might of missed a specific reason. Money, money,money!
