I hate Pulis and his non football. you have run a good race but may just fall short. Will you be able to make a run next year ? The race may have more runners, but then again unlimited spending by United City Chelsea Liverpool doesn't guarantee they will be successful as it hasn't worked so far
He was thinking, "Stop treading on my feet, you dirty bastard!", probably. Yacob's a true hatchetman, whose sole job appears to be to wind people up and get their heads out of the game. He's very subtle with a lot of it, but you can see players losing it with him every week.
3 games is a short period of time. You could pick out 3 game sequences where even Champions have failed to win games. I can see Leicester losing at OT. I can see them winning or drawing too, but Utd will have loads of possession and if Martial and/or Rashford sparkle, they can be too much for Huth and Morgan. Spurs can win at Chelsea. That's a 4 point gap - better than it was before this round of fixtures. Spurs should beat Soton - Leicester won't find Everton an easy proposition. Until recently, they had the fewest defeats away in the PL. A draw is conceivable. Then the gap is 2 points. Both teams then have away games on the final day If Spurs win, Leicester (with an inferior goal difference) must also win. Unlikely? Possibly - but far from improbable.
I haven't seen the alleged Alli incident, stream must have skipped over it. What did I miss? Love the aggressive side of his game, but if he really has lamped someone as I've heard, then he needs to cut that stuff out. Stupid boy. Edit: just seen it, thats idiotic. Poch needs a hard word with the kid especially after his award last night, he's higher profile than ever and he needs to cool it a bit. Can't take the sting out of his game as that'd ruin him as a player but he needs to learn control. Hopefully he matures and loses the occasionally unacceptable outburst as we've just seen tonight. As good as he is I don't like seeing that at all in a Spurs shirt. Given how much is going round on on the internet about Leicester being champions right now, if we turn it around at this stage it is going to be utterly beautiful by the way.
I know you like to make out that I wear Blue and White specs but i've said all along that the book will be thrown at Vardy for his volley of abuse.
If we keep what we've got and add judiciously in summer, I'm very optimistic that we'll be up there challenging again next year. We're the youngest side in the Prem and still learning as a team. If we can hold it all together, I think we'll only get better.
The body language wasn't right from the kick off PNP. I think the Leicester win over Swansea, especially the manner of it and with Vardy out, seemed to confirm in their minds that this is all too little, too late. Alli had a particularly poor game, completely anonymous from start to finish. Kane was also quite quiet from half an hour onwards. Rose was once again superb and I thought Eriksen and Lamela can come away from that with pride intact if little else. The worry was that - as we've seen previously this season - once we've totally lost control of a game, we lack the personnel on the bench to throw into the fray and regain the initiative. Mason's cameo was as hapless as I've seen this season, whilst Son was introduced far too late and isn't the type of player you'd want if confidence is generally at a low ebb as he's looked shot of confidence for months now. Our performances against Stoke and United have shown that when it's on form, the level of quality in the first team is lightyears ahead of the personnel we have in reserve. The biggest teams in Europe maintain large squads quite literally drowning in quality, and I feel that we need to take an expensive step in that direction over the summer. Leave the first team as it is, but Mason, Chadli, Bentaleb, Carroll can all be upgraded.
Alli looks knackered anyway so a break before the summer may do him good, giving Chadli or Mason some game time may actually give us fresh impetus or am I just clutching at straws!
I have said on other threads that I think Spurs will be top 4 next year and if Arsenal don't improve with quality signings then Spurs will be above Arsenal
That is not a hatchet-man. Merely a pr**K attempting to elicit said responses. It does however remind me of UEFA land, where there are far better exponents of that in CL teams than this guy.
I'd agree with most of that, but I think that we started the game well and just lost it pretty quickly. The game could've been over after about 20 minutes, but then the distractions kicked in and the concentration went.
