In the first season of the PL (aka the dawn of time), Oldham were in the 3rd relegation place and trailed the next team, Crystal Palace, by 8 points with 3 games left. Oldham won their last 3 games, Palace lost theirs and Palace went down. It's never over until the fat lady sings.

WBA turned up tonight. It would have suited Spurs for this to have been an away game and for there to have been chances on the break - like last week at Stoke. For all the talk that Leicester are a counterattacking team, it's Spurs' strength too. Spurs' home form has fallen short in the final analysis it would seem.

Most of them, BFM. One in particularly, obviously, but there's been a lot of **** on here from Leicester fans in recent weeks, frankly.
I get that we became your only challenger for the title, but it got tedious quite quickly.

It will. Man Utd need to beat Leicester.
Chelsky will still have to play their cup final just in case.

Not over yet, Leicester could lose their remaining 3 games, with Spurs winning all 3! :emoticon-0172-mooni

You may not lose all 3, but not sure whether you will win any of the 3.
I predicted that before KO today. Only Hope for you is to finish about the Goons now!!

Well Leicester would have to lose to Chelsea, who've basically already said that they don't want to beat them! <laugh>
Not likely that they'll also lose to both Man Utd and Everton while we win against Chelsea and Southampton, either.
Strictly speaking, they could draw two and lose the other and we could win it, but that's not going to happen.

**** me, that was a gutting performance. Should have had Kvetch buried after the first 45 but after we'd hit the woodwork 3 or 4 times and come inches close a few more times, the way Kvetch came out after the break you always felt it wasn't going to be our night. Fair play to them upping it like they did as it looked like we couldn't cope especially after Dier had to go off, but what a performance for our lads to turn in at that time of all times.

Fair play to Leicester if they clinch it next game as well, they definitely deserve it more than us if they win the title. Leicester have played how they have to when they've had to and perfected a certain style of football this season - it hasn't always been as pretty from them as you'd like to see from a title winning side but its been a hell of a ride and the fans deserve their joy. When the rest of the league woke up and saw what was seriously happening, it was too late and even when people started taking them more seriously they still ground it out, so serious kudos to them. No doubt we'll go back to casually flinging insults over the summer if each of our teams does/doesn't get taken apart by the money, but tonight you have to congratulate the Foxes.

Let's see what happens at the weekend though. I still have hope. Stranger things have happened already this season after all...bring on the last legs of the Fox Hunt!

No mate. TBH, it was over before tonight. But Pulis's anti football has just confirmed it.

It was over when Liverpool held us to a draw but this was very much the final straw. It would be a poetic irony if little old Leicester won the title at big-spending under-performing United, and I for one would like to just enjoy our last 3 games now without the pressure of a fool's hope. We'll come back stronger next year of that I'm certain.

    It's over, obviously gutted.

If it wasn't going to be us I'm glad it was them. A true fairytale and deserved winners, they have been a joy to watch and so consistent throughout the season.

Finishing below them now would be the biggest kick in the teeth I can remember in all my years I supporting Spurs. And there have been quite a few t choose from!

Credit where it's due NSIS, Pulis sent them out on the front foot in the second half. They threw men forward and moved the ball around well. We were diabolically awful in the 2nd half, that's all there is to it.

Regardless of who still believes it's possible and who doesn't, it's been an amazing season.
We've played the best football in the league, are likely to end with the best goal difference and goals conceded, and our highest finish in the PL. At the start of the season we'd have taken a 2nd place finish! There's nothing "spursy" about this season whatsoever.
Leicester have all but WON the league by playing to their strengths and grinding out results week in, week out. Fair play to them, and congratulations if they are the winners in 3 games time.

We did bottle it tonight unfortunately.

You did get that feeling when we hit the post early on it wouldn't be our night but when we got the luck with the goal I really thought we would go on and win it.

Started the game very well, but then totally lost all composure as the first half went on.
Yacob was doing his usual and it seemed to rile a number of players, who all forgot that we were playing a game.
Alli's young and fairly inexperienced, so it's vaguely understandable, but he needs to cut that **** out.
Too many youngsters and not enough leaders, perhaps? Not sure.

Obviously I hope Dier is ok but WTF was Ali thinking ? Because of media scrutiny I think that could well be his last game of the campaign ? Though I personally would have no problem if nothing was said or done !
I want us to be champions of course but not by way of our current rivals trial by media, I want to do it by ourselves, as we have done thus far !
