You never know, we almost bottled it against a worse Hull team than Palace. But somehow I suspect Utd won't do the same
Wenger talks a load of c--p because it covers up the fact that he hasn't got a clue what to do next. He doesn't appear to know his strongest team and he can't deploy the right tactics when the situation needs it. He now appears very weak.
Has Wenger given an official excuse why our season went tits up from Jan? Apart from Elneny, the whole team was settled and even our injuries were minimal. I've given him the benefit of doubt before but i'm finding it hard to give him any this year. It's obvious that he is the problem, even his biggest supporters have disappeared from the forum. Where have they all gone??? Only one has turned up and even his activity level has gone down considerably.
I think he will put the excuse this time down to injuries, and will also say 'I don't know, it's hard to say why, and we will have to analyse what went wrong'.
Or he'll probably take full responsibility, say he know he could perform better... then sign a 3 year contract extension.
No way can he give injuries an excuse. The only core player that was injured was Coqs, and that shouldn't have been an excuse for our dismal form in the second half of the season. Besides, Coqs came back on the 2 Feb and we got Elneny in the Jan transfer window. I wouldn't mind if he put his hands up and said fair enough, it was my fault, i should have got the team playing better. But the guy is so arrogant that he refuses to take the blame. It's his players and tactics, he has full control. His £8m a year salary gives us the right to pull him up on it. It just mystifies me that some people on this forum think that Wenger is beyond approach. He is one of the highest paid managers in the world, so he should be rightly called on his mistakes and poor performance.
I challenge you to produce one post where ANYONE has said Wenger is beyond reproach. You need to let go of Cini & IQ87's shirt tails and try form an original thought of your own.
Technically he actually said AW was beyond 'approach' not 'reproach' which is sort of true as no sane chairman would approach him...?!
Considering the majority of posters are saying the exact same things, maybe everyone is following the shirt tails of Cini and 87? To be honest, I'm bored of the same rhetoric coming out from Wenger and the machine that I want to see a change. Arsenal are well placed to go forward with a new manager, thanks to Wenger, but Wenger isn't the manager to take us forward.
If they play well I would be very happy for them to win it at OT, if we beat them however it's game on again.
Not really, it will take a mighty miracle now, they can even afford a loss. The ultimate pressure is on Spurs, because they have to be completely perfect, which is harder said than done, Leicester have breathing space to drop points, which I don't think they will, think they will clinch the title at OT.
Spurs have to be perfect, which I think they won't, I see them dropping points to Chelski, who might actually be motivated for that game, and Newcastle away, if they're still fighting for safety.
I wonder if we can finish above them now? The funny thing is I saw a Spurs bloke at the barbers over the weekend, his words "not really worried about you lot, finishing above you lot is not in doubt, we are going for the title". I can see Spuds dropping points against Southampton and Chelsea.
