    No I don't know him personally but my late Uncle (died in 2014) was a former youth development coach at the club ... his sons, my cousins, are still in touch with some of their dad's colleagues who are still at the club and from everything I hear from them there is absolutely nothing negative coming from the club in terms of the lad's attitude, humility and demeanour ... he comes from humble origins, lost his father early in his life and has continually had to prove himself against accusations that was too slight to become a top professional footballer etc ... out of interest how long was your friend's interview, who does he write for and is he fluent in either French or Arabic? ... coz Mahrez's English is extremely limited, albeit far better than it was when he first came to the club in 2013 ...

    One event that sticks in the mind is him putting the ball on the spot to take a penalty during Vardy's record run ... he then realised Vardy needed the goal and readily motioned him to take the penalty and was the first to congratulate Vardy on scoring ... Vardy's record scoring run ended at Swansea where Mahrez scored all 3 ... the last goal was laid on by Vardy who could have tried to take on a more difficult chance himself ... instead he put it on a plate for Mahrez's hat-trick ... that epitomises the side we have for me ... no big egos and no player putting himself before the team ... has been the real secret behind our success this season.
