Maybe I am a pedant but it's in speech marks, as if a direct quote. It seems to be two quotes, then the "concessions please" as a separate strap line. The message is clear but the structure isn't... But it's good. Very simple message and no wasted details. As for the fail printing it, they take anyone's cash for an advert as long as it's clean and acceptable.
Yeah can't help thinking a question mark would have helped! Obviously HDM didn't help in that regard!
Is it possible for your mate to send an e-mail including a digital copy of the ad to any/all of the National dailies - some of them may well take up the story and spread the word ? Weekend papers too & regional TV news programs ?
Good on the individual who forked out money for this. I think the problem that might cause this to be ignored is that the club think they have dealt with concessions by offering them in cheaper zones or family areas. The nub of things for supporters is that we require concessions for people in their usual long time held seats and the club just don't get this therefore they will be seriously underestimating the loss of support.
Just had another thought OLM. David Dimbleby's "Question Time" is being aired in Hull this Thursday. Anyone in the audience who's a City supporter could try asking the panel what they think of football clubs disbanding concessions for OAPs and children. Might get picked up by Neil's "This Week" program (especially if Alan Johnson was on the show that night ?), and maybe Andrew Marr's Sunday morning "review of the papers" ?
I think the breaking up of groups and moving seats is a significant factor that seems to be getting marginalised. The social side of football is a massive part of football that seems to be missed by people until it affects them. Fair play to the bloke for doing something. Putting his hand in his pocket shows it's about more than just the money.
I had something to say but I've forgotten what it was. But since when hs David been banned from speaking to anyone at the club? Didn't he hve Curtis and Steve-O on the radio the other day?
This is a good idea. However, because of the Club offer of concessions in certain zones, it may be hard to put across in a limited few seconds. An approach to someone like Alan Johnson to approach the Allams and see if he can broker something might meet with more success.
He got the hump with Swanny saying he shouldn't have picked his son ahead of Maguire for the Wolves game in his HDM column.
Perhaps someone already has, but you have to email ahead with any questions you'd like to ask and they choose whatever suits their agenda.
