As opposed to when you had to play more games with less players? How does that work out to be 'harder'?

5 mins of extra time in the semi. Palace winning 2-1. I was hoping Watford would win as they would give Utd more trouble

That's why your team in particular only care about qualifying for the champions league. Celebrating year after year on qualifying for something you will never win.

Not every fan celebrates it, though it's clear that your board and management have been getting a hard on about getting back into the top 4 for awhile now.

With Utd in the cup final there is a very good chance that the scary stat of at least one of Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal winning one of the 3 major domestic trophies each season since 95/96 will continue!

Quite damning that, but change does seem to be the air.

Pardew will suck Uniturd's cock in the final. Mind you, as soon as Everton went out Air Traffic Control were on the alert for whoever played in the final out of the three teams left. Can see the ball getting stuck in that roof if it rains on the day.

I think there should be less even money hand out and more on the league position yes. I think you are right there.

I cannot see everton arsed at all v Leicester

The gap will be back to 5 with 3 to play if we assume spurs win.

2 wins is enough now so even though both clubs mentioned have good players I think if Leicester do thier jobs they've got it.

The Utd game will be interesting. If they go negative it's the wrong play

WBA are another team already on their holidays, guaranteed win for Spurs.
Can't really call the Man Utd v Leicester game.
Chelsea need to play like they don't want Spurs to win next Monday.
Everton are a broken team managed by a broken man...however, they have "Champions League qualifying" away form (8th best in the league <laugh>) so they could pull out a surprise at Leicester.

£15m of performance bonuses? Which we'd get all of TBF

My bad just did a search 65m. No known additionals. Shocking really considering he had a release clause and sterling went for 50

Tbh it makes no difference about the money being more or less. Its the olayers who cant be arsed and its not them that will be seeing that money. Not sure what you can do to incentivise these teams. On the otherhand for the relegation battlers/table toppers its there fault for not playing better at the beginning of the year.

£65m was a scandalously low price for a player of suarez's quality. He singlehandedly pulled the team to another level and nearly to the title,

But replacenents would be key. As someone once said "money cannot kick a ball"

Suarez is the best player in world football this season, easily.

    Guy is a monster.

Why did we sell him for £65m (much lower than announced by the club) then?

Because at the time we didn't really have much choice.

After the WC and the **** that came with him, he had to go. Unfortunate but true. He was also far too good to play for this current Liverpool team, that's the reality <ok>

Even at £75m it was ridiculous steal. Luis, however, had made it a fire sale with his most recent bitey episode at the WC. It was either that or get him put down.

Even £200 mil wouldn't have been enough.

You can't replace him, so the money doesn't really matter. Surely?
