No, it's the opposite. It's about respect for the game. Why would a player finishing in 9th think that anyone gives a flying **** about what he thinks about the outcome? Especially, when he's cheated a living (£10m) out of his club. Wouldn't you rather he talked about trying to play less like someone who hasn't cares a jot all season? No, I guess you wouldn't?
I am sorry to bring it up again but this Hazard business is really bugging me, and it would annoy equally if I was a Leicester fan. Imagine the boot is on the other foot and we are in Leicesters position with Man City in our place, and several Utd players went public saying that they want us to win the league and on the last day we win at Old Trafford leaving City 2nd. Now it doesn’t detract from our achievement (as it won’t from Leicesters) but on forums like this we get endless comments from City fans saying it’s all down to united handing us the title and that would just be so annoying, you win the title over 9 months not one game. So I am making a commitment now to the Leicester fans that I won’t make any such comments we have had some good banter these last few months and I hope that continues. As for Hazard, Fabregas and Terry we all know what they are – it’s a word I don’t normally use but this shirt sums it up
The worst thing is the transparency of it all. Hazard, we all know, is a mercenary who couldn't care less about Chelsea's rivalries, but is pretending to hate Spurs in an attempt to 'get over' with the fans, who have just reason to be a little miffed with his performances this season. Our team has four of his international team mates and compatriots, is he really telling them so bluntly he doesn't want them to win competitions? That can't go down well, not with our Belgium contingent, not with the Belgium management.
If we did, we'll still win by 3 or 4.The idea that you could put a glove on us us shows how little you have learned from this season. You're not that good and your players don't care. Go and think about that for a while.
Funny you should say that, while eating my roast today, one of my potatoes decided to break off of my fork, bounce off the table and land on the carpet while covered in gravy... Stupid Spud.
Leicester can only play and beat what's put in front of them. Yes, Swansea were dire. Their defense was a joke. But Leicester took full advantage of that. You can't do anymore.
To be fair, I never thought that Swansea would win today. Still, it's gutting that they didn't even put up a fight.
That was exactly like your win over Stoke. One team queueing up to score and another queueing up to put chances on a plate.
Stoke batled through the first half. Doesn't look like Swansea even turned up. Still, as others have said, you can only beat what is in front of you.
That's the real issue, not our game against them. And tbh although they're not going to blatantly throw it, who would want to be the Chelsea player whose goal gave us the title ? If there's 3 points or less in it by the final day, the worst result I can see Liecester getting is 0-0.
Hazard's comments were to be expected, I'd hardly think a Chelsea player will come out and say they want Spurs to win the League. It's inevitable that they'll play **** hot against us and then just plain **** against Leicester, even if the title is already out of reach for us by that game.
And thru quite a bit of the 2nd half too (they got caught on box to box counters precisely because they were pushing for a goal) .
I'd congratulate Leicester on winning the title but I already have. The math didn't add up after we went down 8 points the first time, I thought. My take may not be entirely welcome by anybody, but I think that while Leicester has played on the counter or negatively, and while they've been about the sharpest team in the grey areas, they couldn't have done anything else and won. It was Chelsea doing the same things for much of last season I found annoying, when they could have won playing the right way. As it stands Leicester have done something that most teams in league history have tried to do, but they're the only ones that succeeded. So, well played. It's taken a hell of a lot of focus and determination, among other good qualities.
