http://www.abcactionnews.com/newsy/...y-and-friends-say-goodbye-at-private-ceremony Prince has been cremated and a small private ceremony held. I presume that the police are satisfied about cause of death. Very quick, but I can understand it. Although family and close friends may appreciate what people felt about such a person, it must also feel that vast crowds are taking over their grief. There is the public figure and the private one.
Way hay!!!!!! My boys team just won their semi-final and the final is at Sixfields Stadium, home of Northampton. So proud of them.
If this is genuine "need and desperation" then that makes me feel very sad. If it is opportunist theft by a bunch of chavs, it's disgusting.
No one's going thirsty in this country. The government hasn't started cutting off peoples' water supplies as far as I know.
Many languages have the Latin/Mediteranean words to derive from, and many languages have the Germanic words to derive from, but English has Latin, Germanic, Indian, Portuguese, Chinese and many other tongues to enrich the language. Plus you have authors such as Shakespeare, Dickens, Hardy, etc.. who just invented entirely new words or from conjugations of separate others. Then you have authors like Will Self who takes old or little used words and puts them into a modern context and scenario, and fair play to that. English is an extremely mobile and living language. Far more so than most others, perhaps any other.
http://news.sky.com/story/1684482/prince-worked-154-hours-straight-before-death Brother-in-law of Prince said he'd worked 154 hrs nonstop before his death and he hadn't been seen for 12 hours before he was found in the lift. Sad way to go.
Caught up with yesterday's MotoGP race at Jerez in Spain. So the 4th race of the season is my 1st, and although it was a pole to flag win, not the best race, it was achieved by my favourite rider of all time - Valentino.
another one goes... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-36127223 What a great track Me & Mrs Jones was/is.
Why are so many famous people dying these days compared to other times? Here's an answer that is probably close to the truth: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36108133
I can't believe there's a website that predicts which celebrities are going to die each year! The fact that such a thing exists is depressing enough...
There are several actually. They don't do it through malice, as far I know, just that some people have a morbid curiosity, and they cater for them. The internet serves so many purposes.
There's a pub in Brighton with a Death Wall. You pay a quid, put the person's name on the wall, and if they go first, you win the pot. It's morbidly popular.
