As much as I despise Barton, I have to concede that we would've been better with him in the side than what we've had this season imo. It was impossible for the club to keep him though. One, because of his wages and two because of his use of social media which the club have new stricter rules on its use. He seems to have curtailed his use of the latter though.

Agree absolutely. We should have let him tweet, we could have been promoted with him.

Derby were 1-0 down home to Sheff Wed but sub Darren Bent scores with his first touch, 1-1

Three teams at the top of the Championship each on 87 points with 4 goals separating them. Good end to the season!

One of them will be odd man out, and if that team doesn't make it through the playoffs they will be very disappointed at what might have been.

With your betting connections I wonder if you could answer this point. I was following our match on Bet365 today and normally it is a truly live service (has to be with changing odds), with a loud roar when a goal is scored, as for Hall's goal. Following that I noted BBC was showing a 1-1 score with a Reading equalizer, but on Bet365 the match play clock continued to go way past half-time, showing us still 1-0 up, and didn't stop until 54:00 min, when there was a delayed roar for Reading's goal, the score went 1-1 and timing clock reverted to 45:00 min - HT, then the Bet365 system crashed.

My question is what happens regarding those wagers made in that window of opportunity when system still showed us 1-0? Many bets could have been placed in that period, e.g. team to score next goal, player to score next goal, half-time score, full-time score etc. Would those bets placed all be cancelled? I assume each online bookmaker must have a representative at the venue, following the match to key in all those live details - is that correct or is this a common shared sourced service?

For overseas folks that don't have the Everton v Man Utd Wembley FA Cup Semi-Final match available on TV (only broadcast on SportsNet World here - $20/mth extra on cable), here is a good link (for other matches too).

I wonder if Everton again fail to impress today if Martinez could be on his way out? They have a talented squad of players available and should be performing much better as a team.

Actually that 0-0 match (3 years ago) marked the end of our first foray into PL football.

"Reading and QPR have been flirting with relegation all season yet their fate is now sealed."

Hull and Burnley joined us last season in our relegation plight.

Yepp. But we wouldn't. We have missed his non stop motor and aggression all season.

Don't think he's that bad myself. Certainly would be glad to have him on sensible wages if it meant the team being better.

I don't mind the Twitter stuff much either. It can be cringey but he's not out doing damage to himself or others รก la Caulker.

Christ, the London Marathon is a boring event! Dressing up as a dinosaur or a lemon drizzle cake is not amusing.

I just heard a radio commentator say something about elite wheelchairs - where can I buy one of those, I wonder?

Anyone watching Fer walking about in a high tempo match? He must have run half as much as the other midfielders.
