Should I revise my score now I realise the "unlucky mascot" Finglas is at the match. The last minute goal vs Charlton, when I was there and Finglas was not... proved it was not me that was causing us not to win...so it had to be Finglas. So I am going to revise my score to My Boys 3 (Washington, Polter, Chery) The False Hoops 3 (Vygas 1, Kermorgant, Hall og)
When the won the Championship a few years back it was 106 points and it's an embarrassing chant but when you have no history i guess you need to sing what you can. Remember we won the cup in 1967
Good decision to amend your score Beth. You may have noticed, I also chose a draw (1-1). I am indeed the unlucky omen this season. That's five games now and I have seen 2 draws and 3 defeats. Hopefully the Bristol City game will produce my first win. I'll tell you a little story of what happened me this evening Beth when I arrived back at Dublin airport. I was coming down the aircraft steps and all of a sudden I saw a bloke waiting at the bottom of the steps for me. I thought, what is this creep staring at? He then approaches me and says, were you at the game today? I said yes, I was at QPR. He said he figured I might have been as he saw my QPR top. It turns out he was an Australian tourist who had been travelling 24 hours solid. He said he had supported QPR since 1967. I asked him if he had ever been to a game and he said no. I took the programme out of my bag and handed it to him. His reaction was amazing. He said, "oh what a welcome to Ireland". The bloke was almost crying. Little things like that can make up for a disappointing match and It made my day. That and seen so many friendly faces today including Hoops Eternal and his fantastic sons. I had a brilliant day.
