45 years ago today the Rolling Stones released their first album on their own label, 'Sticky Fingers' went to No.1 in both the UK and USA and was widely acclaimed. Here's a couple of tracks from it...
Did you hear about this Sooper? http://www.rollingstone.com/music/n...new-lead-singer-joining-band-on-tour-20160416 Axl Rose fronthing AC DC...? Not sure if that computes for me. Also Axl is such a diva, head right up his own arse!
Yes, I read that earlier in the week, unfortunately Brian Johnson has quit over possible deafness. When you think of it Axl's vocals are not too far out of the AC/DC range. It just depends whether he can keep his head together...
Wow, I was unaware Brian had called it a day. A real shame and must be serious if some kind of ear defenders can't be used. Don't get me wrong I like Axl as a singer and front man to the appetite for destruction GnR, just think he's a bit of a tit. He will have to arrive on stage when the concert actually starts for a change Oh well I hope it works out for them!
And another 1971 classic, I remember buying Pink Floyd's 'Meddle' and 'Led Zeppelin IV' on the same day, what a week for rock that was...
Nice one. Wild Horses is my fave stones song and I'd never heard it before until you posted it on this thread a year or so back Top stuff!
Thank **** I saw ACDC last year - not a fan of Axl Rose, as you say always comes across as a bit of a prima donna
I still haven't read the whole story but Sooperhoop posted he'd called it a day so it seems so. They were half way through their world tour, Axl is lead singer for the American leg.
