Would take those two in a heartbeat Ernie rather than the ****e that Sky pumps out.

This is a big game isnt it?
I would say even though its only the third game of the season if Weymouth dont beat Chipping Sodbury then the managers position is untenable.

Don't have a problem with patriotism (the opposite actually) but I'd rather our national holiday commemorate a secular figure like Alfred the Great or King Athelstan.

St Elmo's fire - something we used to celebrate - especially when he scored against TWS

Do you mean that you do have a problem with patriotism?

Or were you trying to say that you have a problem with people who are unpatriotic?

Until 1348 we had 3 patron saints two English (Edmund and Edward) and a Roman (Gregory).

This new one is just commercialism.

It was much easier for Edward III to get t-shirts made up for all his troops saying "For England, Edward and St George" than "For England, Edward the confessor, Edmond the Martyr, Gregory the Great and Edward" especially as he had to pay per letter.

I wouldn't say I have a problem with unpatriotic people. I think English people who openly despise England and regard it as the worst country the world has ever seen are ******s.
