Once agin Hartson giving his opinions about all things Welsh, why do people keep asking for opinions from this average ex-pro who's career defining moment was getting caught kicking his teamate in the face on camera, he is just so deparate to keep himself in the spotlight.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14308594.stm

I particularly like this bit talking about what type of pressure Gary Speed has in regards to the up and coming qualifiers.

'"I don't think he's particularly feeling any pressure. There may be pressure on him from the media and pressure that Gary as a professional will put on himself, but there's certainly no pressure on him from the likes of me."'

No pressure from the likes of Hartson, does this man not realise that he is no more or less important than the everyday fan, this may actually be what he meant but IMO it comes across a different way in the sense he thinks he's important, it may just be my dislike for him that makes my mind think this way this but everytime he opens his mouth I learn to hate this fat ginge a little more.

I kinda agree with Hartson to be honest. Just because he is from Swansea doesn't he mean is always wrong. Even if he did suggest Cardiff would be relegation contenders haha

    Why?

The only reason we have a low ranking is that all these tinpot countries' teams play more regular games to earn ranking points.

There is no way that with the talented footballers from this country we should struggle against most nations of the world. Obviously there are some that are genuinely significantly better, but not THAT many.

The only reason? I think it is more to do with the fact we have won so little games I could count them on one hand in the last four years. Don't we all have the same amount of games anyway, qualifiers plus friendly breaks?

The quote was about Wales not Swansea. Still jealous of us even from a higher league. Sorry that we're still the No.1 team in Wales ;)

STILL the number one team in Wales <rofl><rofl><rofl><rofl>

Swansea are not and never have been the No 1 team in Wales, what they are at the moment is the highest placed league team, check your history and see how many times we have been placed higher in the league than you, check which club has won more European ties and got the furthest in European competition, how many times have swansea got to the finals of a major domestic competition (the johnson piss pot trophy doesn't count <doh>) never mind winning a major trophy, one flash in the pan season doesn't really count in the grand scheme of things,to be the No 1 side you have to consistently finish above your rivals, well done for getting to the top tier, and good luck with it, but until you have consistently finished above us, then your No1 team in Wales boast, is just that a hollow boast. Hartson, says things that he knows will stir up opinions, just to keep his name in the media, it doesn't matter whether they are correct or not he says them for effect, he is like a lot of pundits, none of them would miss a headline for the sake of the truth, Hartson however is disadvantaged though.........he's a jack ;)

Can I ask why the slagging off of Harston ? He was asked a question and he gave an answer, is he not entitled to an opinion about the country he actually played for with more passion than some of the players we have now! Did you not cheer when he scored goals for Wales because he was from Swansea ?

Finally I notice Savage commented on there as well, but you lot are not attacking his opinion, guess it must because he is not from Swansea !

    I HAVE POSTED FACTS

The fact that you and others of your ilk have chosen to ignore them , because they don't fit in with your cosy little one eyed view of the world, well that is hardly my fault.

I'll let you in on a little secret

    PLANET SWANS IS NOT REAL

No sour grapes from me, history shows that Cardiff have consistently finished above swansea, you don't want to believe it, thats up to you, what you believe or don't believe doesn't change the facts

I'm shocked and stunned that the BBC has allowed an ex Welsh international from Swansea to have an opinion on the national team. Unbelievable. What were they thinking? Don't they realise anything outside of Cardiff is not actually Wales? I can't believe I pay my license fee for this rubbish. I demand they rewrite the article and replace Hartsons name with Neil Kinnocks.

To be fair, Hartson is a rubbish pundit. He hasn't exactly put it in the most articulate way, but he is right in this case. And it's not often you can say a balding ginger ex footballer is right.
