I'm pissed so I have high hopes tonight, when sober tomorrow I would agree with you. Hope Rafa gets a good reception he is still a class act.
It is nice to know that your fans still have a huge respect for him and is in stark contrast to the many dimwits who booed and still boo him at a certain London venue. I feel that if he had gone back to Valencia at the beginning of the season, instead of going to Real, that club would be in the Champions' League placings. Since the players there no longer have to put up with Gary Neville's bull****, Valencia have started winning games again and in style.
Of course I hope we beat them but I don't think we will as its a game that we'd typically lose after playing well in our last three home games, add to the fact it'll be a weakened team too. However Newcastle aren't particularly flying at the moment either, so hopefully we'll have enough in the team to take care of them. Will try and be positive so - 2-0 to us
Do people really think we'll play a weakened team? I can't personally see us doing so?? Maybe a few changes but I can't see wholesale changes?
Has Klopp said so? I just can't see us needing to rest anyone because they didn't really have to work that hard against Everton & the European game is pretty far away to be resting players for it. I can see pretty much the same line up as against Everton but with Sturridge instead of Origi.
Think we've had loads more injuries on the training ground this season than we have in actual games. We need European football next season, which means we need to make 6th place (as back up in the event we don't win Europa), we should be playing our strongest team today!!
Don't know what Klopp has said but I can imagine him wanting to have another look at the "reserves" as well as protecting a few players It's almost the end of the season and he needs to know who can do a job next year Your idea makes sense too though
I like everyone else expect a weakened possibly very weakened team so this is really Newcastle's chance and if they don't take it their chances of surviving look very slim. edit well everyone but Lucaaas.
Actually had a dream last night that was watching the game and as the teams came out the tunnel and lined up, instead of ynwa everyone was singing Rafa song including the Liverpool and Newcastle players.... Jonas Gutierrez was one of them as well. #truestory
Yes, it's not about being tired its about preserving injuries. I think we'll see a very similar team that we saw v Bournemouth last week.
I can't call it. Klopp's talked about this being long way to Thursdays game... but.... I dunno Sturridge must be careful. Stewart should come in but I dunno.
Just reading on twitter now that Sakho has been suspended by the club for taking fat burning pills (and failing a drug test)! If true and he's found guilty like Toure it'll be a 6 month ban. Could be a huge blow.
On quite a few sites.. Liverpool apparently going to make a statement at 1.30 Bloody idiot if true leaves us in trouble at CB for rest of the season.
