Indeed. Doesnt matter what round you go out in, whether its the 3rd round or the final. You either win the FA Cup or you don't. If you don't you may aswell have gone out in the 3rd round, as it just means less games you have to play over the season.
Just pointing out that if you go back and read Diego's post you'll see it clearly says match day not matchday as you misquoted. Diego obviously wrote match day as meaning during the day
