I can't see anything but a Saints win either, and I almost never say that; normally superstition prevents me from being over confident, but Villa are hopeless and I fully expect us to beat them and add to their woes.
I went to that game, my mum got their late because of traffic... missed the first 20 minutes and was fuming that she'd missed Sadio's hatrick. Then Long scored that right in front of us and she felt better. That first half, every time we attacked we looked like scoring.
Will be a tight game, plenty of Saints possession with, I sense, resilience from Villa as I am sure there will be scouts from other clubs there to pick up anyone they think might be worth a punt on so these guys will be out to "impress." I go 1-0 Saints. The attendance might be well below 30,000!!!
Let's hope that Palace don't come back to haunt the Saints on the last day of the season!! I sense a dead rubber of a match since Liverpool have surged by, and West Ham do not look like faltering. So an 8th placed finish, better than expected for some, for others maybe a tad disappointing so it has been a reasonable season with some good highs like beating Arsenal and Liverpool at St Mary's, Chelsea and Manchester United away but the lack of form pre Xmas, the EL and the FA Cup exit have got to be the low points.
Having not been to SMS much this season, I decided I must get to the Crystal Palace game. Have just bought a ticket, so I expect Saints to pull out all the stops....Mane must beat his own hat trick record, Pelle and Long to score two each (with one of Pelle's an overhead kick), JWP to score from a free kick, and Forster to run forward in the dying seconds and score from a corner.....otherwise I want my money back.
Possibly Jack Grealish, but not for us. In my opinion, none for us. The WBA's and Crystal Palace's of this PL might find someone to sign though.
Aston Villa could play with two attitudes: can't be bothered or play without fear. I think they may play better as they will no longer fear about dropping points....their fans deserve a good performance. So we have to be on our toes....nothing is certain. Understatement of the year alert from Davis: They haven't done as well as they might like.
Doesn't sound as if that was SKD, but more SD. Was the opinion preceeded by a resigned sounding yeah.?
