Chelsea have utterly dominated the youth market in this country for a number of years.
It's worked out quite well for them financially, but I assume that their poor season has resulted in some tough questions.

I'd be very worried if Conte were to start bringing players through.
They'll have a big opportunity to do so, but he'd have to take some risks.
I'm not sure that's his style.

Appointing Mauricio Pochettino on a 5 year contract was a statement, actually a commitment to building a team out of the talent we had nurtured. It takes time and patience. I am not sure there's very much of that under Comrade Abramovich.

It's a bit of a problem for a number of clubs.
Managers should be trying to build for the long term future of the team.
They're straight out the door as soon as they hit a bad patch, though.

We bemoan the lack of brave coaches who'll take a chance on youth.
Then the same fans will call for the head of anyone who takes that risk and isn't instantly successful.

Simple way to sort this, have a limit on the number of players a Prem side can sign in a season, if they exceed the limit they lose their TV money and it is equally shared between the clubs in Div 1 and Div 2. In addition, if a club spends more on transfers in one season than the total of their TV money, the difference should be deducted from their TV money and again shared equally between the clubs in the lower divisions. It would mean the greedy money bags clubs who have about 30 players out on loan would have to give their TV money to the lesser teams, hence helping the teams in the lower divisions and encouraging the money bags teams not to snaffle all of the decent youngsters.

Furthermore, any team falling foul of the FFP rules should also forfeit their TV money in favour of the teams in the lower divisions. Hit them where it hurts, in the pocket.

No, not at all fella but just pointing out that quite a few of your little darlings are not whiter than white and if left long enough, butter will melt in your mouths !

You've found one example of one of our players going down easily when he was headbutted.
Another wasn't a dive and the third was a player apologising for doing it and then getting sold.
I could probably find worse than that and we've already given better examples on this thread.

Diving is a bad thing. It gets criticised on here quite a lot, even when it's one of our players doing it.
Pretty sure that nobody from this board goes and defends it on other ones, too.
I've no idea why Leicester fans appear to be so upset about legitimate criticism.

Not at all but don't make out your players past and present haven't or don't do it because they have done and are doing ( Rose who I do like by the way)and on occasion will do in the future !
Unfortunately it is too rife in the game !

They've clearly been trawling the internet typing in on google "Tottenham player dives"/ "Tottenham player cheats" just to create some form of defence for Vardy's antics.

Rose does dive and it annoys me. I criticise him for it when it happens and have singled him out in the past:

He's been getting away with it and now that he's been caught, the ref's being hauled over the coals for giving the correct decision.
That's appalling.

On the contrary mate but to be honest I don't quite understand why quite a few are whining about literally everything that is Leicester City , Referees favouring us The F.A favouring us etc !
I personally think along with us ,Spurs are a breath of fresh air and if you do manage to overhaul the deficit then well fookin done !
Your a top club with a top manager that IMHO is going places !
Just concentrate on SPURRING your team to winning games and not whinging about LCFC !

This is the best bit, PNP.

The Leicester fans are coming onto this Rival Watch thread and presuming we only criticise opposition players for diving and cheating. If they'd actually bothered looking at our match day threads in which one of our lads has dived/ cheated/ play acted, they'd realise we rip into them probably more than we do of any opposition player (well except Costa, he's just a massive super ****) as we hate seeing a player stain our club's reputation.

As for Vardy, you're bang on about finally being caught, the overreaction of these pretentious Leicester fans is extremely comical, they think they have an air of invincibility around them just because they're now the nation's darlings. They've been riding this incredible wave all season to the point where they've turned blind eyes to Vardy's antics, Mahrez's dives and Huth's MMA-style take downs. We may rip into theirs and other players when they've cheated but make no mistake, we also acknowledge when one of our own has acted up and been a prick, they just fail to realise that.

What you're not realising is that there's been a big meal made out of this Vardy/ Leicester stuff on here because your lot are coming over trying to justify and defend his antics by using examples of a Spurs player doing wrong or just trying to claim that what Vardy did wasn't cheating, when it clearly was and I'm amazed that some of your lot won't accept that because for me it's a blatant act of trying to con the referee into giving a penalty... We know our lads have wronged in games, as I said in my reply to PNP's post, we rip into our lads more than we do of opposition players but seeing as you lot only tend to read our Rival Watch thread, you're never acknowledging that we slate our own and then you start accusing us of having agendas against Vardy and Leicester City, it's beyond a joke pal.

No, it's the inconsistency of the Refs PNP,especially when it's the same ref ffs !
I mean Moss sent Vardy off last Sunday for two bookings, so how come he didn't book two Gooners for simulation yesterday ?
It beggars beyond belief mate and that's my only beef with him .

He's getting heavily criticised for the one that he got right, though! <laugh>

I didn't watch the Arsenal game yesterday, so I can't comment on any of their diving.
It's pretty standard at the half-Emptyrates and it's rarely punished, for some reason.
Maybe years of practice has made them good at it?

It's funny that he mentions that Dele and Eric aren't "one of our own" - which is fair enough - but then uses Izzy Brown - whom they signed from West Brom - as an example of one Chelsea's own. He fails to mention Mason, plus Josh who's played about 15 games this season too and if it weren't for Pritch's injury he'd also be an example. So if he's allowing himself to use Izzy as an example of one of Chelsea's, then Danny and Kyle were both signed young and nurtured through to the first team via U21's and loans.

he makes a good point about the Arsenal dived, same ref as well. I'm sure you'll agree if/when you see them. I've made it clear I don't have an issue with the decision against Vardy but we need consistency and on that basis, Arsenal would have had two and even Reid against us. Punish all or punish none not some
