I may be wrong but I have decided Norwich are down and it is between us and the Mackems. My Chronicle Predictor had us surviving by one point. With the North -East teams though you just never know.

Well we need to beat palace and Villa absolutely. Another win would do it for us. I think a draw or nothing else on top would be really hard on us.

We really could have done with walloping Swansea a bit more. Mackems practically have a point on us with an easier run in.

I don't mind them "doing okay" so long as they do the decent thing and get relegated.

Think that Sunderland will stay up but it will be very close between the bottom 3, Everton and Watford are badly out of form right now and may have an eye on the Cup Final. We have 2 very winnable games against Villa and Palace.

Mackems are favourites not due to the Fat Sam factor, but the fact they have a game in hand and probably an easier run in, they'll definitely be pencilling in away at Stoke, home to Everton and away at Watford as potential wins, and even at home to Chelsea who are off the boil atm. Fatty bung man is not some drop-avoiding genius, some a boring oaf who gets teams playing incredibly dull but effective one-dimensional football. I thoroughly expect them to lose to Arsenal, but if they get anything from the Stoke match it gives them a big lift, and it could be the result that keeps them up.

Realistically I see us beating Palace and Villa and losing the other 2, in an optimistic world, Leicester have won the league before the last game, Spurs not bothered and we beat them, and in a stupidly optimistic world, we also get a draw from Liverpool. So 35 points realisitically, 38 hopefully and 39 if we do ridiculously well. Thus 3 wins for the Mackems will definitely relegate us, and 2 wins for them will likely do it to.

    Nervous times.

    My predictions:

    Saturday 23rd April
    Liverpool V Newcastle loss

    Sunday 24th April

    Sunderland V Arsenal loss

    Saturday 30th April
    Newcastle V Crystal Palace win
    Stoke V Sunderland draw
    Arsenal V Norwich loss

    Saturday 7th May 2016
    Norwich V Man Utd draw
    Aston Villa V Newcastle win
    Sunderland V Chelsea loss

    Wednesday 11th May
    Norwich V Watford win
    Sunderland V Everton draw

    Sunday 15th May
    Everton V Norwich loss
    Newcastle
    V Tottenham loss
    Watford V Sunderland draw

That leaves all 3 clubs on 35 points and us relegated on goal difference as it stands. Hope either I'm wrong or that both Palace and Villa completely collapse for us and the dippers and spuds games are 4-3 defeats rather than 6-0 whitewashes! Can also see the mackems sneaking a point from the Arsenal match and making it moot in any case.

You've got Sunderland losing 2 and drawing 3, that puts them on 33 not 35.

If that's the case, I think we'd stay up, as I can see Norwich's GD taking quite a bashing vs Arsenal, Man U & Everton.

I think you're underestimating Sunderland a bit here, as they'd certainly be expecting to win one or more of Stoke, Everton and Watford....Everton and Watford are the games to worry about here, with the former in awful form and the later out of form and maybe having one eye on the FA final if they win on Sunday.

Even if they are definitely coming second going in to the last game I still think they'll care. It's not like they'll suddenly become ****.

We'll have to beat either Liverpool or Spurs and win against Palace and Villa to stay up. I doubt it will be less than 3 wins required.

I screwed up my post, I meant to say they'll beat Everton at home, which would put them on 35 points.

Why don`t we just win all of the last 4? Stranger things have happened you know? Liverpool will rest loads of players, Palace are just **** at the minute, Villa, even though they have accepted their fate and should be relaxed, are really bad, and Tottenham we have already beaten so why cant we do it again and the crowd will be mental for that game I bet... So there we have it, 12 points in the bag. Positivity you see, it works.....

    Come on the Toon...!!

I think 7 points is the target from these last four games. I can see Norwich picking up 4 and Sunderland 5 respectively.

Both beat Watford, Both draw vs Everton and Sunderland draw vs Stoke. Losses to Arsenal for both again and another loss to United for Norwich and Chelsea could prove to much for Sunderland but depends which Chelsea turn up on the day.

That being said this is football and Sunderland could well lose to Watford and Everton but sneak points off Arsenal and Chelsea, its gonna be a butt clenching ride!

We HAVE to beat Villa and Palace and hope to nick something off Spurs or Liverpool to stand any real chance IMO.

Once the intensity is gone..it's gone. Look at West Ham visiting last season. They couldn't give a rats ass about losing, actually they probably didn't feel half bad for letting us stay in the league and get big sam sacked.

The other result we really want is Crystal Palace destroying Watford in the cup, which would mean Palace won't try against us in the league, where as Watford wouldn't have one eye on the FA cup anymore when they play Norwich and Sunderland

Sunderland have this all day long, they are massive favourites. Why? The most difficult fixture, excluding an Arsenal side who ****ing love to screw themselves over periodically, are against teams with their flip flops on already.

As I said, it shouldn't have to come to beating Spurs, Liverpool and City, but that's the situation, and as much as you lot bum Rafa, he is ****ing as culpable as all the rest by losing our winnable games.
