    Quite a shocker this one, as said above only 57, I didn't follow him down the years but Purple Rain always held a special place in memories of 1984.

    It's sad news indeed and I liked his music, especially the New Power Generation stuff in the early nineties, but some of the comments on that link are creasing me up.
