Spearing Rejects Loan Move To Wolves

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Luis Figo no7, Jul 28, 2011.

  1. Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has turned down a loan move to Wolves.

The Express & Star says the 22-year-old was offered to the club on a season-long agreement with a logjam of central midfielders available at Anfield.

But Spearing has opted to stay and fight for his place under manager Kenny Dalglish, despite the arrivals of Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson plus the return to fitness of Steven Gerrard.

McCarthy is considering his options and has also been offered Manchester City's Michael Johnson.

Fair play. It's good to see him fighting for his place. He did well at the back end of last season and hopefully he can continue those performances into next season.

  4. Its up to him if he wants to fight for his place...and if he gets wish, then this season will be crucial for him as hes already 23,so if he does not firmly establish himself into the first team this coming season,he'll probably be moved on next season.

Do u think this scenario is probable?

He signed a long-term contract earlier in the season so that says to me that Kenny sees him in the long-term plans of Liverpool FC.

I think he's made a mistake here, his style would suit wolves perfectly, and a season on loan playing 90 minutes in every premiership game would be exactly what he needs.
