Joe Cole and Insua on the same side is a bad idea, JC won't get back and Insua isolated, well..... less said the better.
Really starting to play much better. It's just awful as we haven't got a DM. Poulsen is always on walkabouts.
Losing some of that sharpness we saw at the beginning of the second half, sloppy passing a bit again.
Hello everyone. First post. Insua is playing a tiny bit better this second half, I must say. Still needs to improve, but I somewhat understand him. Made that LB position his own, then told by RH he didnt need him (replaced by Konchesky, says everything about RH's decision making), then locked out at his loan club. He probably feels unwanted, and the fact that he was slagged alongside Cole, Poulsen, Jovanovic etc. when not even at the club is probably not helping. Still, he needs to show his skills if he wants to play ANYWHERE, let alone with Liverpol. Aquilani is clearly a class above everyone on the pitch, Kuyt is running his socks off (that first touch of his though..) and the rest of the players aren't showing much. Hints of optimism in the second half though.
Welcome to the site mate! Any problems give us a shout. Agree with your comments regarding Aqua and Kuyt. Not sure Insua will make it though.
Ridiculously good finish from Elmander. Our own fault though - terrible. Jones had no chance, but horrible error from Flanagan I think.
Well, if you see his movement in this half he is letting Spearing run back in front, staying as cover, while the rest of the defence runs out. This is smart as the rest are getting played off the pitch, and he has made a few good tackles when they run past our defence. His main weakness is that he is an offensive minded LB. While this is not bad in itself (he does have pace on that left side) he often gets caught out of position. This second half he apparently realised this and isn't running up the pitch as much. If he can stay back, I think he will make it. And 3-0 as I speak, Ayala's fault.
