The problem at the moment with Hobbs is that he has a hamstring problem and has not played for a week so his match fitness wont be there. McShanes injury has now exposed City on the lack of 1st choice centre haves.
Sign/Loan in Ayala, play Ayala and Chester until Hobbs returns to full fitness, then reassess as to our best 2 options at that time based on form.
If Ayala has been available all the time and was agreeable to joining the mighty tigers but it has not happened due to the fact we do not have the small amount of money required, this would be of slight concern to me.
Sorry guys but Chester was constantly out of position last night, many times in the first half he was halfway up the pitch when the play was in our box, give me Ayala anytime.
Ayala is well over rated mind, he's a good player but since he left people are starting to imagine that he's better than Chester, Hobbs and Gerrard put together. He's a good player but no better than the other 3 we've got/had.
Good player, not convinced he's a class central defender, and I don't rate him as highly as some on here. I'd pick Ayala above him.
