    Deja Vu?
We were in a good vein of form when we played them away earlier this season and lost.. (along with West Ham and Watford away, that was one of our worst performances this season!)
If we weaken the side too much (and we will do to a certain degree with the EL Semi next week), then, given they're fitting for their lives, could see them pinch a point, maybe more??
Defensively, Rafa knows how to setup a side not to concede, they're buying into the way he wants to play and won't be an easy nut to crack!
Think he'll play Sturridge up top with Firmino, Ibe and Ojo behind.. Stewart and Allen in MF.. Ward deserves another go in goal, Kolo and maybe Lucas at the back.. I'd be tempted to play the first choice FBs, the "backups" don't fill me with too much confidence!

Is that even a real country these days?

    :)

PS I'm allowed to say that as my mother was Scottish. Always enjoyed beating the Scots...at anything.

PPS And no Chippy, that's not a euphemism.

Is that in the medical sense or plumbing sense of the word?

    <whistle>

Will he be playing as well? I Remember saying to my mate "Is that Dejan Lovren because I am sure I have seen him play before" and he replied "I think thats Deja Vu".

ok so i suppose i owe a team for this **** show.

    Ward
Randall Toure Sahko Smith (jesus wept)
    Stewart Allen (as above)
    Ibe Lallana Ojo
    Firmino

I'd be sort of tempted to go 433 but with ibe and ojo i think the manager has to go 4231 and let them stay wider.

I'd prdicit rafa targetting smith big time with townsend if we see this sort of team.

That's a 424 in reality since Firmino comes deep

Players I def. don't want to risk against Newcastle with the Semi-Final in mind..
Mings, Clyne, Moreno, Sahko, Lovern, Milner, Coutinho, Lallana and Sturrdige....
But I don't want to give up the league (position) either..
The likes of Smith and Randall don't inspire confidence, we have 5 days of rest until the Semi so I maybe tempted to play Clyne, Moreno and Sturridge in the team on Saturday.
I'd line them up as follows..

    ---------------- Ward
    -- Clyne -- Kolo -- Lucas -- Moreno
    ---------- Allen ---- Stewart
    ------ Ibe --- Firmino --- Ojo
    ------------- Sturridge

Options on the bench should they be needed!

I just don't think Klopp rates him high enough..
Having a local lad is all well and good but only if that local lad is worthy of his place in the team!
That wasn't an issue with the likes of Macca, Owen, Fowler, Gerrard, Carra, but since we last won the league, we've had a "few" local lads that had no right being in the team!
My "Theory" on his new deal is we simply get to sell him on, in the Summer for some money rather than lose him on a Free..
Gomez should be fit come start of next year, he could be seen has backup to Clyne..
A new LB in the summer to replace Moreno or keep him on his toes, Matip and maybe A N Other CB and we should have decent cover at the back.
Flanno, like a few others, will be gone come the summer, IMHO.
