Hard to say. Both have seen very little football here for us fans to judge. Based on the very little I've seen of Sissygirl, I'd say Ben Arfa. But that is only cause I've seen more really. From what I've seen of Sissygirl, he looks a very good player. Ben Arfa first and foremost needs to get over the horrific injury suffered. I reckon it'll be mid season before we see the best of him. He is bound to be a little tentative, and pick up injuries as all players do when working back to fitness after a lengthy lay off. It's garbage to describe him as injury prone though at this stage. He certainly didn't appear to be at Marseille or Lyon.

Both good but on pedigree and standing in France, plus the little I've seen I'll plump for Ben Arfa

    I literally have no idea.

I like to use actual words... Like they taught in school. Did you go to school?

Both only cost 6million I hardly think that makes eaither player a world beater. Yes they are good players for SAFC or NUFC standards but have seen words like superb, class etc etc you do not get that quality for 6Million squid. Would either get in the top 4 premiership sides???

Right now I have my doubts. Let both of them get a season under their belts then when they sign for a top 4 club in the summer we can start using words like class, superb followed by Judas and twat!!! lol

Think it depends on your view. If it's black and white glasses then it's the frenchman with one leg, but if it's red and white lenses for you then it's Sess.

Sess has played more games in the Premier league then ben arfa so at the minute I'd have to give it to sess, just cos he's done more on the pitch. A season each under their belts and then do the poll, but the winner will always be who votes more, the mags or us Sunderland fans.

The only real person for sunderland [no digging] who we could compare "as in football ability" is Gyan. Gyan wins at the moment due to ben arfa injury,
as long as hba returns the same player as before which the experts believe he will then he has the albilty to be one of the BEST players in the league not just in the north east.
that sess looks like a tidy player but hba is on another level, god knows how we got him and i hate to say it he will be long gone to a better team thanks to who gives a **** Ashley

Strange because most Sunderland fans on here are under the impression that at this moment in time... Sessegnon is our best player.

But then Spurs have been linked to Gyan so he must be best I guess.

That is a very bold statement, I think players like Tevez, Rooney, Gerrard etc. may have something to say about that. On the strength of 4 (?) games I think he's made a good start but then so have so many players, only to struggle long term, but it's good that we can have this debate about two good players who ply their trade in the great north east.

While I agree the original statement was a bit strong, why do you all seem to think we are basing our opinions on 4 games? He's been performing in the Champions League for years (and in Ligue 1).

Evening lads. Just back from 3 days in Berlin with the missus (no kids - wahey!).

Polls like this won't work as there's more mag posters on the site so they'll just swamp it. I haven't a clue how good Ben Arfa really is, as he's only played a few games anyway and he's coming back from a really nasty injury, so how good was his recovery?

Sess has improved steadily and seems like a class player to me, so I'd pick an injury-free him over Ben Arfa at the moment, although this season will be very interesting.

Sausagegone was woeful for many of his games but has looked decent recently I think Ben Arfa was a different class to be honest but right now who knows.

yeah, but I don't think they'd really care if they failed or not, far too busy counting their money.
