We did pretty well last time we were in it. Just hope we can put up a good performance if we get there this time.
It just shows how boringly predictable the Spanish, French and German leagues are to have those teams already qualified. The only surprise would be the Madrid have not already qualified.
Does this mean you are writing off the rest of this season? A shame, because a lot of people still want you win the league.
) .. not at all ... there will be huge disappointment and a sense of anti-climax if we don't see it through ... perhaps also some real resentment towards Jon Moss (doubt the FA would award him another game at the King Power)... but nevertheless, for a club outside of the Sky4 and the occasional over acheivers, Liverpool and Spurs (actually Spuds only got qualifying stage, didn't they? , to claim one of the CL group places is still a phenomenal acheivement ...
No. We got knocked out in the quarter-final by Real Madrid, having beaten both of the Milan clubs earlier on. You're thinking of Everton, who were knocked out by Villarreal.
... so you didn't finish fourth in the EPL and have to go through the qualifying round(s)? ... which was the point being made ....
It's a bit of a stupid point then, isn't it? We qualified, won our group and beat Milan in the next round. You're yet to win a European game in your entire history. Perhaps you should embrace that opportunity, instead?
.. the point is that we have now qualified for the group stage of the competition ... we'd already qualified for the 'qualifying stage' after the Sunderland game ... that you are stupid enough to not get that can only be because you are.....well ........... stupid ...
And you were wrong about the other part of your claim, but don't let that stop you going on a silly rant, eh?
No numbnuts ... the only claim I made was that we had now got one of the EPL group stage places by virtue of our league position.... Spurs only got into the qualifying stage of the CL ... which fourth placed teams do ...Liverpool finished second in the EPL and therefore got straight into the group stages ... like we have just done....
It's an utter irrelevance if the team gets through them, which we did. I can understand why your lack of familiarity with European football is confusing things for you, though.
