Hilarious that this game is now all about securing top 4, with United 1 point behind us, Liverpool 6, and West Ham 4.

Will things ever change? From challenging for the title, to ending the season fighting for top 4, how utterly depressing, and pathetic, who can blame the home fans for turning up with no passion? Are we really supposed to be motivated and pumped up to be fighting for top 4?

Then come end season we will have the two stooges dumb and dumber, Wenger and Gazidis telling us how we have so much ambition and want to win things and bla bla bla.

We're going to fight to get top 4 to make it to Europe to get knocked out of the last 16 for the 7th year in a row, and to only end up fighting for top 4 again next season, with Wenger saying judge as at the end of the season, and Gazidis saying how we have big ambitions, andddddd repeat. The story of Arsenal summed up right there.

    What's the point really.

Our situation is bad, but no, I would hardly want to swap with you, LVG is just as frustrating and even worse than Wenger. I also don't rate a lot of your players.

Nah, would not even take that, because that would be same old same from us, it would still be a bottle job from us, nothing really that different or extradionary. If we did win the FA Cup it would just be a major gloss over another season of underachievement and bottle jobs, and give Wenger and the idiots running this club more excuses and breathing space. As things stand, many fans are finally turning on Wenger, an FA Cup win would have given him that little reprieve he needs to continue his usual bullshit.

Maybe what you need is to fall out of the top 4. Keep those fingers crossed and cheer on the opposition! <whistle>

TBH even that might not change anything, Wenger will say we were just unlucky, it was very close, bla bla bla, and we're not too far and the usual bullshit. Nothing will change with him, 5th, 4th, 3rd, and even a cup.

You just know if we didn't get top 4 all would happen is Wenger would say "United spent a lot of money, what do you expect?" "We've been top 4 16 years straight, to miss one year means nothing, lets not overreact." "We have to believe in the overall quality and spirit of the team."

Not sure we will get to see these events, as I think we will still finish top 4, but those would definitely be the responses. Even then, I couldn't see Wenger leaving. The only way he would leave is at the end of his contract - and I do believe already this will be his last contract.

I can see him say those very words, like a well scripted polictian and the bullsh1t they spew in front of the tv cameras. There is nothing moving him except him moving himself. The management are happy to.give him at least 1 drop out of top 4 before getting itchy in my opinion. He has the safest job in world football.

Tonights game could be the lowest attended game over:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-empty-seats-emirates-west-brom-a6992436.html

Up to 20,000 empty seats potentially, hope that's the case, fans are making it clear that they have had enough of this BS, I know Piskie thinks fighting for top 4 and chasing Spurs is something to get so excited and motivated about, or as he says 'bring it on', but for the rest of us, it isn't anymore.

I think these last few fixtures are the least I've cared about Arsenal games in 20 years.

Glad we are discussing the game! Looks like we now have a (practically) fully fit squad to chose from - only Santi and Oxo injured, and due back by the weekend. Rosicky and Wilshere gaining match fitness, Jack could conceivably be involved considering he's scored for the U21s. Typical that we have our least amount of injuries after we've been knocked out of the running for all competitions.

Be interesting to see if Welbeck gets dropped and if Theo/Giroud get trusted with a start as Welbz hasn't looked great the last few games.

Merts better start for Gabriel. While I'd like to see Gibbs get a start as well.

    Otherwise same as last game...

We have had most of our players available for a long time during these few months, injuries made no difference to our bottle job in the last 3 months.

And who really cares about the game? We will probably end up winning, put a good performance, and the players and Wenger will think they're great again, and we will end up bottling it in the next game, the story of Arsenal.

We're on the road to nowhere but top 4, again, so who really cares? What's really the point anymore? There is no point to this club and what we do, it's just about balancing the books, making profit, and getting top 4, and repeat.

And that's why there's going to be thousands of empty seats tonight, nobody cares about this game, and rightfully so.

And when you talk about replacing average Welbeck with donkey Giroud and Walcott who's even worst than Welbeck at the moment, it just adds to the frustration, lol this is what it has come to at our club, relying on **** players like Giroud-Walcott, for a United reject, lol. funny. The state of this club is a joke, managed by an idiot, and run by bigger idiots.

If you don't really care, don't want to watch the team, care if we are playing, who we are playing or watching the team - then sorry for asking, but why are you supporting the side? And why start a match thread if not to discuss the game?

I dfefinately do not support Wenger anymore, screw him, the faster he is gone, the better, along with some of these average players.

Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud, have no place at this club, that is if we want to win things, you don't win leagues and compete in Europe with these sack of ****s. One is an overrated glass man, one is a donkey more interested in his hair and shows up for a month, goes missing for 3, then comes back, and repeat. The other is an overpaid weakling who still doesnt know what his best position is, still has no major influence to our game, is not missed when out of the team, and when he is in the team you don't even realise he's there for the most part, had one very good season to inflate him, and that's about it.

I will watch the game, but at the end of the day, it's all meaningless, we are on the road to nowhere.

Pointless game slowly leading to the end of another pointless season. But wheres PISKIE to say we should be going all out for the win and that it's a great opportunity to cement 4th?
