He's looking well. I remember him looking very touched (for a Yorkshireman) when we chanted his name after relegation in '77. Good man but apparently a pretty poor footballer. I remember Glenn Hoddle saying he was hopeless in the 5-a-sides back in the day.
What a great photo of the legends, I'll admit its taken me a while to get them all and I am still struggling with the tall one at the back behind Hazard
It's been bothering me that people were seeing Chivers and Burkinshaw in that photo and for the life of me I couldn't see them. I didn't realise that they've been cropped out of the versions I've seen
Keeping it light, I see Ched Evans has won his appeal. Never thought it likely he was guilty and his mate was innocent. Both guilty or neither.
Yeah, that made no sense whatsoever. It'll be interesting to see what the new evidence is, too. Evans still comes across as a total ****er, but I suspect that he'll get off if the retrial goes ahead.
More importantly, Charlotte Thorstvedt is renting out her apartment for a couple of weeks. Anyone know any good places to drink in the Grünerløkka district of Oslo?
Seeing the picture above, I wonder what the dynamic is between Burkinshaw and Jennings. Keith's biggest blunder was freezing big Pat out.
For those who are of a certain age: You tube has an hour of pure joy. Honestly, you'll rave about it - "Where's Gilly? There he is!" - The Spurs Show Live with Pat Jennings and Alan Gilzean When the above was recorded it was as per the picture, the 2 individuals a long, long way apart.
Evans' situation was totally different. The 2 verdicts were not tied together as they had markedly different circumstances. I haven't seen any mention of what the new evidence is yet, not sure if it's made available before the re-trial but I don't think it's simple enough to say "he'll get off". Whatever the result I hope that **** never plays football again, his website is a total joke and his previous appeals have been a joke as has his attitude towards his conviction and to that of the victim and her safety. What we've seen in the retrial being awarded is just what you get from paying very skilled lawyers for years to try and pick a hole in a case. Justice my arse.
