How is Derby's ticketing system going and are other clubs copying it yet?

Aren't Derby selling tickets in the way Easyjet or Ryanair do? That's what I meant.

Nonsense. Much of what you question folk use, to some extent, is in their daily working life. Even when they are a tad short of the total answer it is only a short leap to reach it, but there is certainly enough of an understanding to make an educated judgement. These cards are used in many different ways, they are used for sales and marketing rewards, they would be useless as a future-based tool if they had no flexibility or growth potential. Yes, it comes at a cost, as I have not come across anything that doesn't, but that cost should not be prohibitive to a business like Hull City Tigers Ltd. As for selling the concept on, the Dragons would guffaw to the end of the program. Much ado about nothing.

    I see what you mean.

We have had discussions on here before about it.

My OP is really more to do with what the owners will get out of it all. As a club unless we have PL status, we have few assets to sell of value. The reason for the membership scheme could be to show that we have a system that could be rolled out to other clubs and that although our gates are maxed out at 24k we have more than that as members.

Its discussion and debate. Give and take.

Fez writing a new question on a subject he lacks knowledge of, trying to generalise and then answering it as if everyone else is wrong and having a sly wee (inaccurate) dig in the process...surely not? :emoticon-0113-sleep

Do you actually have a point on the OP? If you do, can you address it to the OP, because the usual tedious ****e of yours pisses people off and bores me rigid, ta. <ok>

The system being used is called Fast-Pass, it's an existing entry management system, but I can't remember which site I read all the details on previously. After the original presentation we were given details and I was able to find their site no problem, but there's loads of 'Fast-Pass' companies (it's the name of Disney's ticket system and that's what Google mainly throws up, it's also the name of a large driving school). It might be the Sisco one, but I'm not 100%, their site doesn't look familiar.

I made my point, this type of card is commonplace, the technology is deliberately a bespoke one to fit the client's requirements. The 'hidden value' of patent and selling the concept on - the whole point and title of this thread - is ridiculous. I work with varieties of this everyday. It would be the first question a Dragon would ask and they would be out.

As for pissing folk off, you are the board expert. You start quarrels with lots of posters, many have and do complain about you, jeez, I even recall Mrs Blue Mountain Bear tearing a strip off you. <laugh>

You ask questions, using the piss-poor style of feined ignorance. The number of topics you do this on would lead anyone to think you are a reasonably smart twelve year old with Googling skills but no life experience, or the ability to learn from them. It might surprise you how much knowledge and experience can be accrued in forty plus years of working life; you should come from under your stone more often and learn something of value.

Insult me to hide your own inadequacies, be the board big man, claim all of these detractors for me, that is fine. The reality is you are nothing more than an educated fool with too much time on your hands and an over inflated ego. **** off now, like a good boy, you bore me (I won't claim others, as the board speaks for itself). <ok>

Isn't Fast-Pass more of a generic term? I think the argument is that this takes it to different places.

Really? Wouldn't a license fee be needed to use the Disney version?

It could have been the most erudite, insightful post there has been. You can't go by the poster. All/ sorts of things can happen. One day Patty may post a genuine link to a stream, Mavroz may post something intelligent...Strange things can happen.

They can, but in this case, I'll take the risk, as the odds are so well stacked against it being worth reading. <ok>

I wasn't having a dig at you, as such. Just asking how he would know the contents of a post by looking at the poster's name. It was more a comment on DMD making assumptions.

My point was that this system in made up of various components linked together and that is where the value lays. I did not say at any point that it was not something that could be not bought off the shelf. It is the putting it together for use in a football club that makes it different. Obi pointed out that Barnet have a ticketing system that is similar to EYS. But I believe that EYS applies discounts membership according to the amount spent. Barnet you get a discount in the club shop if you are a member.
