We all are mate...we are fans of Hull City AFC. Life has always been tough & helter-skelter supporting this team...hence the moaning & sarcasm.

I mean we and the team, the booing at games needs to stop, regardless of the performance on the pitch. That Snodgrass told us the players held a meeting without Bruce shows that they do care and are trying.

We win our last 4, Boro, Burnley & Brighton all draw their last 3 - bingo, second behind Boro.
    I dreamt it here first.
    Best goal difference too :emoticon-0100-smile

I would never question the integrity of the players - it is a given and in my experience they all go out to win. Fans are fickle - they all want success, become frustrated, moan and sometimes boo their own team. Players understand that & are in the main unaffected by the latter (tune out). Your last point may well suggest the players are (weekly) rebelling against the management ( managers tactics, coaching techniques etc). What really counts is what the players do for 90+ minutes on the park. The vast majority of fans know that and pull together with the players.

Absolutely. Robertson seemed affected by it a few weeks ago though when he spoke out essentially against the moaning of the fans, but he's younger and the players will help him through that.

    Not questioning your support mate!

Actually chatted on my podcast about my speculation that the players may at some point just ignore Bruce's tactics and go for it in matches, but not sure whether as professionals they would actively do that.

Probably been under instructions not to talk to Burns. They have had a good rapport in the last 2-3 years.

I didn't hear that Robertson interview so can't really comment. I sense he is quite an intelligent lad and was most likely echoing a standard variation on "It's good to have the fans behind us" on behalf of all the players, (maybe specifically Clucas depending on the timing), rather than being affected himself. He's a tough Scot ye ken. They don't give a **** what people think of 'em <laugh>

He was complaining that the fans get on their back for passing sideways, and was explaining why they do it. Don't think he was thinking the fans.

Players have been know to do that if a fair number of them believe a manager is not helping the situation tactically or if they sense the manager is already a "lame duck".
Happened at Leeds United when Clough was (briefly) in charge. That was player power against a major ego.

You saying he was criticizing his manager's tactics then ?

No? Robertson was explaining to fans why they pass sideways or backwards. If anything he was defending the manager.

He must have been subtly criticizing the forward players then, for not moving into space or "showing" for a forward ball then. If that's the case, it's an indirect criticism of the manager's instructions to front-runners or tactics in general. Where can I find that interview ( Radio Humberside or press ) ? Robertson's instincts are "get forward as fast as possible, cross from the wing or slide inside a back to a man running into space. You can often see his frustration.

Not sure what you're reading in my comments that isn't there. Robertson had no issues with the playing style or the tactics. His only issue was with the crowd's response.

Think it was through the club after the Brighton match I think? Someone help me out.

I'm trying to understand what Robertson's issue was with (whatever) the crowd's response was to something that obviously irked him. Your comments, statements do not clarify that, hence me wanting to listen to/read whatever he has been quoted as saying. Your reading of whatever you heard or was quoted tells me nothing.

Eh? I'll say it again from the beginning.

I suggested the club all want to get promoted so we should be pulling in the same direction, not booing players on the pitch.

You said the players don't get affected by the booing.

I said that some do, as Robertson came out after one of the first games where the supporters booed, and basically went through why the players pass the ball sideways and don't just lob through balls to Hernandez. This was clearly a response to the impatience and jeering from the crowd during that game.

Which bit of this confuses you?

The highlighted bit is what I want to hear - the why, which must have been Robertson's interpretation of someone asking him why they were being booed and his explanation thereof. If it was a different question, I'd like to understand why he may have explained the constant sideways passing. It may explain either his thoughts on the inadequacies of the forwards and/or his "support" for the tactics of his manager/coaches.

My responses to your previous posts clearly didn't explain sufficiently what I was driving at.

The why is because long balls to Hernandez don't work because teams sit back against us and lobs up to the strikers will be cut off and collected by the opposition because they sit back.

Yes. So sideways passing solves the problem ?

It allows the team to keep position, work the ball around, draw out the opposition, and allows City to exploit opportunities.

Hunting for the interview but struggling to find it.

So you think it's ok to boo the team?
