Tension builds with the excitement. Excitement builds with the tension. Builds tension with the excitement. Builds excitement with the tension. The excitement builds with tension. The tension builds with excitement. What more needs to be said?

Well, here we are in a room full of strangers. Standing in the dark where your eyes couldn't see me.
Well, I had to follow you though you did not want me to but that won't stop my lovin' you. I can't stay away.
Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway singin' them love songs; singin' them "straight to the heart" songs.
Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway.

    Now's the time for voting.

So who is going to be crowned the next best thing to Sebb? Time will tell. Let the voting commence.

    1. You only have one vote.
    2. You can vote for yourself.
    3. You are voting for the BEST headline.
    4. On this occasion you cannot change your vote.
    4. If there is a tie I have the deciding vote against which there is no appeal or whining. My decision is based on all relevant factors that I think are relevant.

May the second best headline win.

Time is up and the voting has taken place. What have the Public had to say? Who has the Headline that captured the Public's imagination. As usual let's see what the voting reveals unlike Chippy when he passes Fenwick's window.

First in the voting is that Southern Scouser Bisc. As we all know in this prestigious competition the standards of FIFA are applied rigidly. Those voting for Bisc comprise Bisc, not unexpectedly, Slave Master Jak Man and Pantsy sometimes known as Captain Chaos. Pantsy is renowned for his pessimism which can hardly be classed as a glowing reference. Combine that with the rumours currently spreading that Jak Man has fallen out with his betting scam partner No Chance and may be behind the latest "Nigerian Uncle" e-mails everyone is currently receiving causing his former partner in crime No Chance a great deal of work and headaches. Bisc may be a bit simple but has he joined forces with Jak Man to infiltrate the voting mechanisms of the Headline Game and it is then abundantly clear as to why Bisc has most votes. Did he pay any "compensation" to the Games Organiser? No. Well, he surely can't expect to win and he doesn't.

Who does that leave? Well, first for consideration is No Chance. Clearly as can be seen from above he has split from his scam partner Jak Man which can only be a good thing. He is, however, only joint top on the voting because he has voted for himself. Only one member of the Public has voted for him and even that person calls himself a "halfbreed" so not even a full member of the Public. No Chance has cynically attempted to deceive everyone into thinking the Public rate his submission by voting for himself and when the high FIFA standards of the Headline Game are applied then he cannot be allowed to win and he does not.

That leaves us with Sammy's entry and how can the truth of it be denied.

I am therefore pleased to announce that

    THE WINNER IS

And all Sammy could say was

Oh well, I suppose he's not used to winning...

If only Nev would put this much effort into fiddling (sorry running) the Prediction League we might get finished before next season starts.
