We have taken 4 each from villa, Newcastle, C Pal, Swansea and 3 from Norwich so 19 points total, not bad.
That looks like an improvement over recent seasons, mind you we dropped two against our friends in the north and that is a bit of a worry, it would be hard to take if our result at Norwich ends up saving them at our expense. We are also up on a charge of failing to control our players in that game as well, what an injustice, we were provoked from the very first minute by the home team who used every trick in the book to incite a very hostile crowd and tried to con the referee repeatedly, the charge is a joke.
Saying it like that it doesn't bode well for getting points off teams higher up the league then does it? On the other hand had we not got the points off those around us we wold have been well and truly fooked
It's always best to take points from the teams around you. This season may have been a foregone conclusion without Mitro's header in the derby.
You can always look at late goals you've scored or conceded. For me the derby was the key one. We could have been ruined if we'd lost that, and there would have been a 3 point swing between us.
Spot on JC but it was comming for the whole of the second half, we defended like novices and I still have nightmares about the build up to that goal, we have it in us, just like yourselves to self destruct and it boils down to who makes the least mistakes will be the survivor, its too close to call. We both seem at last to have managers who are aware of this, if only we had started the season with these two in charge.
It was in the manor in which we conceded that last kick (header) of the game, we just needed to shut that OUT!! As for the Newcastle game, the way that we were defending most of the 2nd half it was inevitable that, that was going to happen.
