Good Morning Everyone, Leeds have promised fans a refund of up to 50 per cent on season-ticket prices if they fail to reach the Sky Bet Championship play-offs next season A club statement read: "As a clear statement of our intent to gain promotion, in the event that the club does not reach at least the play-offs in the 2016/17 season, we will offer all season-ticket holders who purchase their season ticket before the May 31 deadline a 25 per cent refund on their net season-ticket price. "In addition, should general admission season-ticket sales surpass 15,000 by July 31, 2016, and the club does not reach at least the play-offs, the season-ticket refund, for qualifying season-ticket holders only, will increase to an incredible 50 per cent of the net season-ticket price." Go on Glory, what are you waiting for? Leeds have now won six in the last 10 games. That's 60% We now lie in 11th place. Is this progress? Are we moving forward? If the bookies are to be believed we are! Leeds are 7/2 to reach the play offs next season. Like it or not, but they do have inside knowledge. Show me a poor bookie? Thoughts?
Morning Elland and all. You're too late, glory has already dissed all of the above, quelle surprise as delboy would say. Of course we've made progress. Is it enough? No, because we weren't promoted but we're at least moving in the right direction. Is that another three in a row we've just won? I'm on my way to Birmingham today for a trade show to try and give you lot back some of that sterling Glory left over here on Paddy's weekend
Morning all... Progress, very slightly but what's a position or two and it would seem we are not keeping Evans which is mad. Season ticket thing, very strange, I'm not sure what to make of it and how would that leave us financially. 7/2 is a joke of a price, what are they basing it on... Time will tell, do I sense an exciting preseason?
"Glory talks too much, he never knows when to shut up. I spoke to Murinho and you never know". Bound to beat best league position since Grayson and have most points since too, so we get rid of the manager because he's English??? No he's a gobby Jock. Regarding seasobn ticket policy, it either means Cellino will be gone (leaving new owner with the problem) or he is going to get rid of GFH and pump some cash in. There are plenty of clubs in the Championship next season on parachute payments and even Wolves are still getting it. We need cash to compete as can be seen with Burnley, Hull, investment at Midds, Brighton and Derby and next season could see Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland or Norwich.Serious cash required!!
Morning all. Another 3pts. 10th=. Even Glory will have to admit its progress. All we need now is to keep Evans, our crown jewels, and add a bit more quality in key areas. Who knows what we can achieve? The statement on season tickets is also very positive as well
Morning ristac, I reckon Evans will stay, the only way he will go is if Cellino has an experienced big named Manager lined up. 7/2 is based on the fact that we are super Leeds, and we're going up.
I don't want to put a damper on it but we have had some results that show promise of better days ahead. This is not unfamiliar in the Leeds story but the next thing you know the best player or players are sold. Lets hope this does not happen again but I am not optimistic it's happened too many times.
Totally agree Mr D. If we want to make progress & create some stability, we need to hold on to our best players, keep our current Manager, & give him the funds to let him build his team
Morning all A quarter of the teams in the division will finish in top 6. So the average odds for finishing top 6 is 3/1. 7/2 is saying we have less than an average chance
Oh dear so here we go its sell season ticket time again if you guys think that when you get relegated next season Cellino is going to give you half your money back you need to be locked up If he told me the sun will rise tomorrow i would still find it hard to believe him. I think he is gonna run away lads take what he can and go
Still think it is an awful price, how long has it been since we last finished top 6 or even got near it. I'm not saying if we will or won't it's just an awful price. Based on it being a quarter of the teams can be top 6 then Preston who are higher than us should be even shorter odds.
Good luck pal, weathers not too bad over here today. Great venue and the airport is practically built in
Okay, found the betting for next season on Skybet, we are joint 4th favourites to go up.. Remember, only Villa confirmed as down so betting only includes them at 7/2 favourite then second Reading and QPR at 9/2 then Leeds and Brentford 13/2
Remind me again how does that saying go!! A fool and his money .............................................
Been having a think and a read over next seasons ticket promise, it doesn't sound right in the slightest. If Cellino is serious then the likes of Cook will remain, if we sell Cook and bring in Joe Average loan players then you have to question is he creaming us before leaving us broke. Remember he still has pending charges hanging over him...
Ristac good to see you are not being suckered if Cellino was serious he would just slash prices NOW and get the fans in someone said it amounts to approx 4m give it to the fans now not just another promise which WILL be broken. He will probably say i will keep the money and put it with the Ross money to buy back ER My honest opinion is he intends to grab the swag and just fook off he wants the money in asap before he starts stripping the squad whose gonna buy tickets once he starts selling your best players ?
The answer will be Cook... Sell him for £12m and he won't care about giving £4m back. There is more to this offer, something very wrong. We need to invest in quality if we want promotion, go out and buy the players and there won't need to be any promises made. If we are challenging and playing good football ER will be heaving. This is a promise made to get tickets sold before a player is signed or sold which is worrying.
