Or for our American/Aussie/Kiwi/Scandy friends. Buying home made goods. What items do you own that were made in your country of residence, and are the owners of that company native? i.e. you may have a Nissan, built in Sunderland, but owned by a Jap company. I dont think i own anything made in the UK, which is a sad state of affairs. Got loads of hooky gear made here in Thailand though. Even back home i cant think of anything 'Last time i bought British'. How ****e is that? Im guessing the American lads will all own American built, American company owned cars. Fords or Chevs.
Touchy subject. It is widely known that few European countries, including England, make anything anymore. There is a worldwide map which identifies countries which make and create things......think computers, cell phones, televisions, cars....all modern and practical devices. It's not pretty for Europe and England.
What American items do you own? Car. What about tv, phone, washing machine etc? Bet all your clothes are American made
Think technology, software. The intelligence behind the iron. That's where the money is. That's what drives economies. China is a house of cards. They manufacture what everyone else designs and creates, with cheap unsustainable labor. Irreparable environmental harm. What is American that I own? My phone's operating system. GPS. All the software that makes computing work. All the intelligence that runs the international banking industry and every other big industry.
Think of it this way. Would you rather own the factory that makes Nissan cars, or, sell the intelligence that runs the factory?
Sorry mate. I only wanna know what home made items people have or when was the last time they bought British or American for you. Banking and ooerating systems is gonna take far to much thought. Do you own a Chevy?
Infiniti is exactly that. Right now, I would not buy yank. No reason to, they are not the best vehicles, but much better than they used to be. Btw, most Japanese cars sold here are manufactured here.
Bought some expensive appliances during a remodel from Canada. Worst decision ever. Those Canucks can play hockey, but they can't assemble appliances for ****. Nothing but trouble.
I once bought a gas cooker, I chose a Belling. Good British brand. So I'm giving the oven a wipe out before I first use it & there's this ****ing sticker. Made in bastard Turkey. So I'm keeping some ****ing Abdul in a job instead of a Brit.
