    To be honest, he was never brilliant. The definition of a pace merchant with no footballing brain. His touch and finishing are very poor. I think England must have been desperate indeed to be looking at a player like gabby.

    I was watching on Sky and nobody said anything so I thought I'd seen it wrong. It took them a couple of replays to realise it was miles offside. Terrible decision and commentary.

    Newcastle being spirited at 1-1 with Man City. Has Benitez finally started to make his mark on the team? Sissoko is starting to look like the player again I would love to see in the red & white stripes.

    Anyone else notice how many Northern referees there are there? That surely can't be the best overall representation can it? Tom - do you know anything about how they get picked to represent at the elite levels?

    Okay, so normally at this stage of the season I couldn't give a chuff about Fantasy Football. Not this season.

    I entered into a head-to-head league with my housemate at the start of the year, with the loser having to buy, wear and have their photo taken while wearing their arch rival's shirt.

    With four games of the season to go, I lead by five points. I really do not want to have photographs of me in a Portsmouth shirt online.

    Your support is needed at this tough time. (also, anyone got any advice for how to get around having to touch the Pompey shirt, if I do lose?)
