There is an interesting issue with qualification for Europe, if I am right. So if Liverpool win the Europa league, they then qualify for Champions league, which would mean the 4th place side (Man city) would miss out. However if Man City win the Champions League, surely they would qualify for next years as Champions. surely then it would mean 3rd place Arsenal would miss out.
They've changed the rules. Teams gain an additional place now if they win a European competition and that side isn't in the Champions League places. You can't get two though, so if City and Liverpool finish outside the top 4 and both win trophies, then 4th would miss out. Not very likely, admittedly.
Spurs - sexiest team in the league all year, bar us of course If they win it this year we could see them up top for many years to come looking at the age and superb quality of their squad. North London's changed colour. Looking forward to watching them more than us for the rest of the season to be honest.
I think over recent weeks there seems to be a growing support for Spurs to win it primarily because of the quality of football they play although the majority of supporters would like to see Leicester do it. It is just refreshing not to see Arsenal, the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea slugging it out.
It will be interesting when we beat the Foxes, if Spurs win their game it`s down to two points. Then on to the final few games, too close to call and it`ll be exciting, let`s hope it goes down to the last game of the season ............................ .
This season has been the oddest and unpredictable season i have ever witnessed in the premiership.for results and team performances.......
Ridiculously offside , officials are ruining the game . How do you get that offside wrong , I mean come on ....
So Sunderland can get to 45 points but have to face Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton in their last 5 games. Newcastle have to win all their games (to reach 41) but face Liverpool and Tottenham in their last 4 games. Norwich can get to 43 points but have Man Utd, Arsenal and Everton in their last 4 games. For two of those three teams to get past 40 points would be a miracle. Not impossible, but a miracle. Looking at their fixtures relaxes me greatly. We might have hard fixtures remaining, but we're certainly not the only ones.
Keeping in mind , 1 win from us and the other 3 teams can win all their games and we're still safe . 1 draw and Newcastle can't catch us . Season 6 awaits us .
....and we can get 52pts but I doubt we'll win another 1. It looks like we're going to drift to the end of the season on 40 pts, hoping others can do damage on our behalf. However unlikely it may seem, we could still have a catastrophic end to our season, hope that fat bird sounds like an angel when she finally sings.
