Pompey already 2-0 down after 34 minutes ! Fewster (30 minutes), Alessandra (34 minutes) Disasterous ! To think we thrashed them 6-0 at Fratton Park earlier this season.
we will not win games of football with Jones in goal.......end of! my Dad is at the game, he sys we are playing the old jones long ball hoof it game, I saw this at home two weeks back, i dont like it, it does not work and it wont win games, posession is key to any team
Adam Webster limps off injured just before half time. He got clobbered about 10 minutes ago, and had obviously not recovered from it. Adam Barton on in his place.
3-0 down now. Luke Summerfield with an excellent goal. It's 'Goodnight Vienna' (the fat lady has already sung)..........
Are Pompey determined to finish mid-table, because at this rate others will catch up and squeeze Pompey out which would mean the club has progressed absolutely zilch, whilst at the same time wasted money on experienced players who seem to have delivered relatively little and are not going to be around much longer. If I was the manager, I would implement a scouting operation in the Greater London area to get the best players not hoovered up by the PL and Championship sides, look at the non-league scene as well as there must be hundreds of players who just missed out on making the grade at one of the London sides, so in my judgement would do a great job for Pompey. Palace get players in this way. Perhaps Pompey should as well instead of getting other clubs castoffs (Smith, McNulty, Naismith, Wilkinson, Jones, Burgess, Stevens) all of which contributes to the ever pervading smell of failure.
Jesus ! Gareth Evans with his 10th. goal of the season, pulls us back into the game at 3-1 down. Mind you, it was our first shot on goal after 55 minutes.
Kyle Bennett limps off injured after a nasty challenge by Summerfield. Replaced by Ben Tollitt, who immediately gets two shots in on goal.
All you can do is laugh at how f.cked up League 2 is and how pathetic we are really. In a masochistic kind of way I'm almost enjoying this.
I remember the 79/80 side, and imo not one player from this current squad would get anywhere near the starting 11 that was put out in that season.
