It was NOT a correctly awarded penalty, it has to be deliberate. Wisdom actually got his foot on the ball his foot then rolled off the ball onto the foot of your player, it looked like a penalty only at the end bit, before that the ball was played. NO penalty. Only the gob ****es like Shearer who don't know the rules and grins smugly when giving his uneducated assessment on the rules of the game give credence to those type of decisions. Saying that we didn't deserve anything from that game and you deserved to win it.
Just for the sake of argument, this claims we're more hard done by than you: http://www.teamtalk.com/news/ref-review-the-controversial-decisions-from-week-34
Re Wisdom's foul: he got "ever-such a slight touch on the ball" and made "a seriously reckless challenge". Hardly! ILD described the play perfectly -Wisdom got his foot on the ball and it rolled over the top onto Borini's foot. It may still be a penalty, but I wouldn't call that "seriously reckless," and Wisdom got plenty of the ball. They don't even address the push on Bassong which was an obvious foul.
And yet it states that the ref got it right in our game? As was the one on Defoe in your defensive area. Neither were given and it evened itself out during the game. Or did you forget that the same thing happened in your defensive box to one of our players?
