    We really should sticky that thread.

    As a totem for utter idiocy.

    If he put himself in a straight jacket, wrapped himself in chains, enclosed himself in a chest and was placed in a tank of water.... trust me I'd find a way to make sure he didnt get out <ok>

    But just as you did all that ££££ would implode, the Arse would do the same and we'd find ourselves in 2nd. Slippery bandit he is.

    Reasons for van Gaal to leave, No. 37;

    Being complicit, nay instrumental, in last night happening. Something we will never, ever, hear the last of.

    Losing at home to Norwich. It's the result that's going to define our season when we finish a couple of points behind City.

    Would he do a good job in a league were there is more than one team in it?

    I would be surprised if you guys will enjoy blancs football. From the little i have seen he's basically LVG Mark 2 (minus the playing players out of position). This guy will turn you into a further pass pass pass team. Admittedly i haven't seen his teams in the french league enough, but whenever i've watched PSG in europe and when he managed france, he got them playing nice on the floor football but always never near the opposition goal. Just watch them versus City at home and away, his teams emphasize keeping possession rather than the swashbuckling attacking football you guys would want. Even at 1-0 down against city there was no throwing caution to the wind and attacking, just pass pass pass. Same when France went out in the tournaments he led them in

    Anyway, each to their own i guess

    He did well enough with Bordeaux in France. Won the league with them, which is similar to winning it with Spurs or Everton in the PL and played some decent football too.

    He has been very cautious with PSG in Europe, but then that's largely a consequence of the pressure he is under to win the CL every season - zero tolerance of mistakes makes for a very cautious manager. No guarantee he's succeed at Utd, but then there never is when one of the big clubs changes manager.

    I'm getting more and more cautious about getting anyone in who hasn't had PL experience.

    Aye, cos Moyes' years of PL experience stood him in really good stead <ok>
