This is my worry, that the club is going to lose a lot of supporters because they aren't getting the full message from the club.
^That is easily THE best one liner putdown of this, or any other forum - flamboyantly doffs cap in Castro's direction! I wish I'd have thought of the bastard!
Tommy Cooper at Baileys, knock on hotel door "I'm staying here". "Well, stay there then". Nothing funny written down. Not funny by someone else. Cooper doing it had people convulsed with laughter. I was talking to a lass at the time who worked at the hotel where he stopped. He liked a drink. When they asked what paper he wanted in the morning he asked for a large whisky with it. On the night he had a few drinks and went to the reception desk and said he couldn't remember what room he was in. Listening to it said in that voice resulted in laughter. The more he said that he was being serious the more they laughed. Took a while for them to cotton on he was serious and to sort out. Few people can have that effect.
If only they had the depth of understanding that someone in Australia has as regards what supporting a team entails. Not to mention the ability to work out that they will be better off and not have to move seats to be so.
No it isn't semantics. Being a pass holder doesn't make you a member. It works the other way round as well. Bayern Munich have 250,000 members paying €60 a season but they only issue 38,000 season passes. The two things are not interchangeable. You were wrong.
That individual deal is presumably only available to people that call the hotline. If you simply sign up using the paperwork provided in the post, these individualised deals are presumably not available.
Why are you dragging that up again? Please let it go. I've admitted my mistake for saying member instead of pass holder, as a member here in Australia is a pass holder.
Your post suggests that you have a better insight sat in Australia as to the ramifications of this scheme than the intellectually inferior, to you, people in Hull who are actually affected by this ill thought out and badly conceived plan.
Nowhere did my posts suggest that, unless you're suggesting that my sorrow that the club can't properly communicate this scheme - as people who are ringing up the club are finding out things are better than they thought - is me expressing that. I wasn't sure whether pass holders had to pay the 50 pound which is why I asked, but the discussion was derailed because I called them members. OLM then clarified that no one has to pay the 50 quid.
He didn't actually He told us what he had been told by the club, but the club have very clearly put it in writing since then that they may charge a fee for anyone after 9th June (although not what it might be)
They also mention people not paying any more "for this season...". You can hazard a guess as to what would happen if we went up, stayed there and demand for tickets went up.
Would 't call myself a negative individual but with the ineptitude of the current owners could also see the downward spiral continuing next season. Not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be another Bolton.
Just spoke to them, £960 for me next season if I wanna stay in E5 with my daughter, gonna have to move to E11 with her. Crap view! Happy days eh!
I got a similar response from the Hotline, as a member of the 500 club price frozen or less. Got to be happy with that.
