I did a thread on your board about a year back when he was out on loan, I rate the lad but as mentioned he hasn't improved enough. I wouldn't be surprised if there more to come from him yet though.
I watched him a few times when he played for you, bit of a Joe Allen clever with the ball and willing to work, good positional sense. Would be a good signing for you IMO.
IMO, his first yellow was incorrect. However, having been given that, it was pretty silly to put in such an obvious dive and risk getting the second yellow. Ok, he's earned himself a one game ban for getting sent off. If the improper conduct charge is proven, he'll almost certainly get another one game ban. I really don't see what's so unjust about that. He may have been slightly unlucky in the way he collected the two yellows, although we've all seen far worse examples, but if he's cut loose at Moss, then that's a discipline problem. Nobody to blame but himself.
The same can be said of Eriksen, but his attacking output means he gets more "luxury" status than other MF who put in a shift. It will be interesting to see if Pochettino attempts to work on this next season with Carroll (Eriksen is looking at 6 CL games at worst for half of next season as well as PL duty) .
Let's be honest judging from the posters on here...people will point fingers regardless. It's how they live with themselves and the butthurt. Vardy got sent off and rightly so. Leicester have had 5, 1 nil wins in a row and deservedly so. The last game created some kind of controversy. I'm sure if I wanted to I could find similar Butthurts handed out to Spurs. It's football. I couldn't give a damn if anyone points fingers.
Everyone has a go when they get sent off I just don't see the need to even consider a further ban as players have a go at refs all the time and no action is taken so to do this to such an important player at this time of the season would be madness from the FA, let Spurs and Leicester go at it and see who wins don't start picking over the coals of a game where the ref lost the plot and start handing out additional bans for something that happens on the pitch all the time.
I don't know what it is with Carroll, he's not that small. I would estimate that Silva, for instance, is even smaller. But somehow, he's too easily bullied.
Vardy was manhandled in the box ( grabbed and tripped ) and a penalty should have been whistled down . Once the ref MISSED the penalty , it put in place a calamity of events that punished the wrong team .Once the penalty has taken place , Vardy could dive around in the box like a fish out of water and it should have no bearing . Check the replay , grabbed and tripped .
The gap between City and United is much smaller than the gap between Chelsea and West Ham. We also managed to turn them over at their place. You had to cheat to get a draw at home to West Ham.
I don't think so, you've had a great season and if you catch Leicester then nobody will doubt that you deserve that title.
If he gets a further ban it's because the laws allow it. Diego Costa got an extra game ban for his conduct on top of the sending off. Why the big deal now? It happens all the time, some get pulled up others don't. Costa did, Vardy might. I don't recall fans being up in arms about Costa.
I can't agree, most of Moss's more bizarre decisions came after that incident, anyway. I know that abusing the ref is unfortunately commonplace nowadays, but it depends on what Vardy said or did. Clearly, Moss thought it bad enough to report it.
Sometimes it has to be someone who suffers for the game to generally move upward. Vardy gets an extra game ban : players STFU. I note yesterday that none of the penalty box panto antics on Sunday occurred (think there was one 'Huth handling' of Alderweireld in the Stoke box - and then the commentators remarked the cross was nowhere near either so meh) . The players got the message quickly enough.
Totally disagree, I don't need to see it again, I've seen it half a dozen times or more. I'm afraid. It was one of the most blatant dives I've seen for a while, Vardy deliberately leant into the defender, got his legs slightly entangled and then just....well, dived!...
I agree and think he deserved the yellow and have no sympathy for his sending off no matter how soft the first yellow was. I just hope there's no further action and that it's football that decides the league not some group of old twats. (I mean the FA not Chelsea fans)
Absolute dive , you bet , after the penalty . Grabbed his arm and tugged him back , even before their legs got tangled ... Sorry .
Same size as Modric too methinks. But in attack Silva and Eriksen produce sufficiently to get luxury status, while Modric both attacks and is no lightweight in the MF melee. We know if Carroll can become either, then his squad place should be secure. Whether time has run out for him, we will know come August.
