I have to say,VB, here in Adelaide, is known as Vaginal Backwash. It's a ****ing shocking beer. Now we have a little brewery by the name of Coopers, which has taken off over Australia, especially on the Gold Coast. They are one of the only brewery's left in the world that brews their ales the old original way, and very successfully I might add

Here in Australia you are allowed to use your sick leave to care for an ill child. Which I think is quite reasonable.

Not so sure about that Roo. Just look at what Leicester have done this season. Makes it look like there are a hell of a lot of players that are getting overpaid if the bench of some of these teams is worth more than the whole Leicester squad

Apparently Harry Maguire is unhappy with Bruce leaving him out for his son, and so he bloody well should be.
Several teams supposedly interested, terrible shame if he goes.

Didn't Bruce say 15 million quid would buy his right leg, and he's left footed. With a decent midfield and decent Centrebacks around him, I think Robertson would do extremely well in the Premiership. He'd also have decent Forwards in front of him that could actually put away his crosses like the one Elmo did against Chelsea

Diame £3m, Hernandez £7-8m, Robertson £12m- all 3 will almost certainly be on their way.
Whatever you say about Robertson at the moment, he is one of the most exciting talents in his position and could go to a top 6 side...think Luke Shaw, Danny Rose and Kieran Gibbs- is Robertson that far behind any of them?

Interesting. Most thought we would be able to get our money back on him. Understand he's gone through a drought, but his goals total is still very promising for his adaption to English football. I could see a Norwich or Swansea taking a punt on him over someone like Rhodes in the PL.

Whats happened to Aussie men not to go to pub now.???
Under the thumb would be my guess.
Anyway theres plenty of Real ales brewed by independant breweries over here now that are excellent ( ask Dennis ) that kick the **** out of mass produced beer like Carling.Fosters and the like that taste quite diagusting in some pubs.

Sorry mate but you have no Idea. I go to the Veterans MotorCycle Club and get a can of Jack Daniels for $6, or a can of beer for $4. Quite a selection of beers as well, But the most favoured is Coopers

Here in Uk you work for 34 years paying tax and NI.
Then you go on sick and get £88 per week.
Alternatively you can never do a days work and get triple that a week.

How much do you get if you're on the dole these days? Anyone know?

Let's say as a single man living at home with his parents.

How is it possible to live on that? I'm not saying it should be more, just can't imagine how I could afford to eat.

They don't go to the pub like they used to. I would finish work between 4.00pm and 6.00pm and would be down the pub till 'stumps' every night without fail. Sunday we would all go to Lodge but when the pubs started to open on a Sunday the Lodges went down the gurgler. The drink driving laws came in (and rightly so) and the pubs started to empty. The 'pokies' brought a lot back but it's nowhere near the same as what it was. Things must be bad when the RSL (Returned Servicemen's League) are struggling. $5 for a stubby in the pub or 2 dozen for a slab (24) and drink at home for round about $40 - what are you going to do. The "Man Caves" (back yard sheds) are doing really well. Stick a TV in there and put the footy on and everyone's happy.
Victoria Bitter is still the biggest selling beer here in OZ but is having a close race these days with XXXX (Fourex) and Coopers. All these so-called 'boutique beers' may be all right but are commonly referred to as "****ter Piss" here.
Everyone to his own. As I have aged so has my constitution and I settle for Cascade Premium Light these days.

I seem to remember years and years ago (in the UK) that the law for Pensions changed and they were given a 'combined' Pension which reduced their allowance by quite a bit so they all started getting divorced to get a 'single' pension each. The Government moved very quickly to negate this by applying this to 'couples living together'. Here in Oz, if a husband is working and earns so much then his wife cannot claim unemployment benefits if she loses her job but this doesn't apply to 'gay' couples.
    The thick plottens folks!

P.S. My Pension here is far in excess of my brothers in the UK.
