If we win our remaining games and I believe we will, a draw in any of Leicester's next 3 games means that it goes to the last day. If they lose at Old Trafford, a draw in any one of the other games and...

Anybody who thinks their arseholes aren't going like the clappers now is deluding themselves.

I heard him say it, yeah. But what if that's the general consensus across the squad, and not just Fabregas? There comes a point where it falls in to the realms of match fixing.
They are paid so much money, SD, I don't think they'd care about not performing in 1 game.

Situation still remains the same : get at least level on points with Leicester before
the last game of the season. With Chelsky on unprofessional holiday now, that means
3 games to claw back 5 pts.

If this was 1996, I know what Fergie would be saying about Chelsky. :D

Ruler of the world didn't lead in the national to the last 100 yards.

Even you can't argue spurs are the best side in the country at the moment

I get that the fans would accept a defeat, but do their international players really buy into the rivalry. Fabregas might due to his Arsenal connection, but I think he was saying that for the fans. I think they'll try. Not bust a gut maybe, but they'll want to send a message to Conte.

Really enjoyed Carragher's comments after the game when speaking about Poch and the team.

"Why would Pochettino want to go? Where would he go?" Carragher said.

"Real Madrid, for both players and managers, is a dream but it's a mad house, managers are there for a year and if they're there for two they've won the lottery!"

"What Pochettino has created at Spurs; the players he has got and the age of those players, one of the best training grounds, a new stadium being built to rival Arsenal and Manchester United - everything is there at Tottenham for a manager."

"If he wanted to go to Real Madrid in the future of course he could do that, but for him now he has got to win a lot of trophies with this team because they are very capable of doing it."

"I have said many times that this is an unbelievable chance for Spurs to win the league this season, a chance that may not come again. But the more I watch them the more I think this chance might come again."

"I'm expecting Chelsea to get stronger next season, United and Liverpool to spend, Arsenal to become better as those sides have had average seasons in their eyes."

"I was probably expecting Spurs to go back to challenging for the top four like they used to do. But the more I watch them, I think this could be a team that challenges for the title for years to come."

Fills you with a lot pride seeing one of the country's best ever defenders - now a top pundit - praise your team and manager so highly.

Keep this away from Sucky (he could go into full substance-taking meltdown) .

Where did Mauricio Pochettino spend Sunday? At home having lunch and a glass of wine with Daniel Levy. Whilst they must have enjoyed the result, I'll bet they spent the time planning for next year. The thing that Carragher and Souness and Wright are now stating is:

"I was probably expecting Spurs to go back to challenging for the top four like they used to do. But the more I watch them, I think this could be a team that challenges for the title for years to come."

Over the last 8 games we've won 6 and drawn 2 and you've won 5, drawn 2 and lost 1.

Our records over 10 games are identical. W7 D2 L1.

You knowingly stopped at a random sample of 8 games because back one more and we've arrived at your defeat to the mighty Arsenal <laugh>

And you can thank Moss for that, otherwise that'd have a loss in your bracket there.

An interesting thing about our last 2 games has been our willingness to concede possession to the opposition. I'm not talking Leicester-esque 28% here, but around the 50% mark is pretty low for us when we've averaged closer to 60% this season, especially at home. Is this the start of a subtle change in style? I for one am all for putting an end to the fannying around at the back that we saw a lot of earlier in the season. I see it as no coincidence that our new-look aggressive, risk-taking approach has resulted in two of our most convincing wins this season.

I was pondering the increasing postings of our net-bound tiddler (who keeps getting himself caught
no matter how small we make the mesh size) , and then it came to me :

With the inexorable fate of Villa this season, the life-force of Holte has been searching the
Midlands for a new host to occupy. His search appears to now be over.

    No.

Spurs have always been able to play a mob counter-attack in recent times because
of the speed of the players (Bale, Lennon, Walker etc) . In the 2nd half although Stoke
were pressing they were leaving some big MF gaps between their attacking line and
back four. Sky Sports showed the Stoke problem on their post-match analysis.
