Perceptions of obesity vary considerably. A walk round town reveals a lot of fat folk- I wonder how many consider themselves lardarses?
Ooooooook. Anyway, if you're implying that Tom Cairney was obese, I strongly recommend looking at some of his former photographs in a Hull City shirt. No chance.
Hernandez will sell for at least what we paid for him given his season's form, Diame would likely go for 5-10m, and Robertson is certainly worth around the 15m mark. 30m is entirely plausible. Remember the silly riches on offer in the PL!
My fear is that with the current situation at home matches and around the club there will several players desperare to leave. Particularly if thet are still on reduced wages. At least last season we did appear to want to retain players I think the owners may see this as the best way of reducing their investment in the club.
He was with us from 19 to 22 years old. You can't say this isn't an improved player since he left us:
Just thinking we paid 10 for him, he's scored plenty of goals this season, Boro paid £9million for Rhodes, who doesn't have Premier League experience, and is a year older. There will also be more money floating about next year due to the new TV deal.
I'm not really all that interested in a player once he leaves us. One that celebrates like a **** when he scores against us even less so. If I thought about it, I see a player playing in midfield for a Championship club below us in the table. Big deal.
We paid £10m for Hernandez in the PL and IMO his valuation has dropped due to him not setting a lower division on fire. £10M for Diame no ****ing chance. £15m for Robertson is based on what. He can't defend to save his life. He very rarely gets to the byline. £10m tops for him. It's all academic anyway. Fans are losing interest with City because of Allam. They could get £100m for them 3 and the **** would still want to rip off his customers (remember we are not fans).
He's the third top scorer with almost 20 goals. Not sure what more he has to do to set the division on fire. We paid 9, I'm sure we could sell for 12.
He is an International striker so 20 goals is not that much of an achievement in a second rate league.
What does being an international striker have to do with it? I doubt jelavic could have scored 20 in this league. Murphy at Ipswich hasn't got 20, plus all the other internationals in this league.
Being an International in a half decent team like City should be more like 30 goals this season. Ipswich are **** so maybe that's why Murphy hasn't scored 20. But im not sure on that one to be sure
OK. Strikers who can score as many as Hernandez usually go for at least 10m which would be a profit on what we paid. I'll leave it at that.
Out of contract are Elmo, Huddlestone, Jak and Aluko. I honestly cannot see any of these being offered a new contract.
The only thing that would surprise me more than a £10m bid for Hernandez, is a £5m bid for Alex Bruce.
Failure to win promotion and our squad will be decimated and who could or would blame any of them for wanting out. ? We have some gems who deserve to be playing for a quality / pro-active and positive club. I am expecting it to be very messy if we fail to go up.
