Hello and welcome to the official match thread for our fourth pre-season game against Galatasaray. We will be heading back to Istanbul which is where our historic Champions League final of 2005 took place. Liverpool have played three pre-season games so far. We have beaten Guangdong Sunray Cave 4-3 and followed that up with a 4-3 victory over a Malaysia XI. After our pre-season tour, we came back to England and got beaten 3-0 by the Championship side Hull City. Today's game kicks off at 7PM and pre-match build up starts at 6PM. The game is available on LFC TV Online and LFC TV. LFC TV is on Sky channel 434. Galatasaray 3 - 0 Liverpool Goalscorers: Baros- 8th minute. Baros- 40th minute. Elmander- 83rd minute. Nice one Chris. I tried to give you some more rep earlier, but waas told I had to spread it around a bit first. I won't be able to get involved in this thread as I'll be watching it at the House of Ale. Thick head tomorrow, then!
I hope Turan has a terrible game if he's playing, so that all the fans obsessed with him calm down a bit.
That was my logic for the Valencia game - signing Mata. Not happening as for some reason, he seems to want to go/is hoing to the gooners.
Anyone remember hasan sas? now there was a player! and who could forget Haji, Galatass used to have some top top talent. Should be a good game.
Hopefully it's much better than that King's cup at the Allianz. Nearly slipped into a coma watching it.
Is Baros still at Gala? That would be good to give him a reception he did pop up when needed during that champs league run as well. We might see Arda Turan who many think is a ghost, but he is a real player, talented at that too.
Doni; Flanagan, Kelly, Kygriakos, Robinson; Poulsen, Shelvey, Degen, Cole, Insua; Carroll. 4-2-3-1, it seems.
Our second half team better be much better! Carroll must be thinking what am I playing with here lol!
This looks like a show me team, here is good competition, show me you can play, if not see you later. Shop Window game?
Sensible, we don't want our players clocking up too many air miles (the ones who will face Sunderland). Carroll has hardly played for months and like some huge boulder we need to get him rolling before he starts demolishing everything in his path, so giving him some time makes sense. One big reason to get excited as far as im concerned is that Kelly might be at centreback. Degen... erm what the hell?!
Gotta be shop window for some, fitness for others. Wonder if he left behind Clarke to coach the ones behind?
Some good. Some ****e. Will be looking out for Kelly/Flano/Robinson. Interesting to see Insua there too.
