I will miss Bri if he stays away, I hope that he comes back, he really knew his football and was a joy to read. Far too many good posters are being lost for one reason or another and it is a shame imo.
But are you suggesting football threads should remain so rather than what often happens where they slide off topic? I'm more than happy for that to be the case if it's something people feel strongly about. Would staying along the lines of the OP make this board a bit more coherent lads?
Always has been mate, football is exhaustive and unless you have rival fans it barely generates much thinking. Washy just spoke up, I think it's worth listening to him and I also think it'd be good to discuss a 'dark room' area where folk like you, me, GIL the perv and whoever else wants to come and chat about stupid and meaningless things from time to time, or in our case, most of the time.
I read somewhere might have been the yellow sticker on sky that the West Ham chairman and his family had to leave their seats because of the abuse they were getting from the Leicester fans when West Ham went 1 - 2 up - not on i'm afraid
Think me n Raw stated a few weeks we werent very keen, to put it politely, on Leicester so I am personally delighted he got sent off and couldnt give a flying one whether it was a right or wrong decision.
Well Spurs are 1-0 away to Stoke (much to RAW's delight I'm sure). Obviously we would like Spurs to still be in with a shout of the league title last day of the season so we really need them to win tonight. Decent game actually.
Spurs to win the league and parade the trophy at St James Park whilst Newcastle get relegated on the same day? ****ing hell. We did that against Blackpool but at Old Trafford and we'd already won the league before the game.
On a smaller scale a few years ago, we beat Plymouth away to win the league, and that result meant Plymouth were relegated. Argyle were great about it though, they were playing "we are the champions" and their fans were very magnanimous. TBH, The championships fans are much better than the Premier fans.
spuds 3-0 up now. ....only 5 points in it after tonight. leicester: swans H, ManU A, everton H, chelsea A (5 points if they splodge it - two tricky away games) spuds: baggies H, chelsea A, saints H, mags A (10 points is very do-able, but tough) this could go all the way to last game and Spurs a much better GD. i hope it goes to the last game, anyway.
We all have fall outs and disagreements but leaving for personal reasons or any other is individual choice. Either way a return is just as easy as leaving once everything calms down.
Spurs were good first half, but have been outstanding second. Stoke haven't been that impressive IMO. We could get a result if they play like this.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Chelsea roll over for Leicester on the last day, their fans will want them to at least, not much affection between them and Spurs... This Spurs team look the real deal though, great to see a team with so many young English players playing such good football. Whoever wins the league this year will have richly deserved it.
