Me too. DC is killing it TV wise. Shame their big screen counterparts suck balls. Civil War looks ****ing excellent
I'd predict a tv version of Justice League would be much better than the movie version their filming atm.
is this avengers civil war with captain goodie two shoes and iron man hammering each other? It did look good on trailer i saw.
Well its a Captain America movie, but most of the Avengers are in it (Except Thor and Hulk I think). Iron Man, Black Widow, Cyborg, War Machine, Black Panther and Spider man all in favour of Superhero registration. Captain America, Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Falcon and Antman all not in favour. So they fight......
Yup. I could not be more avengers if they tried. the big angers movie is coming as well Hawkeye and ant man are **** heros.
No.....no they are not. I can't speak for their comic book versions, since I don't read comics, but in the movies, they are both great.
Hawkeye and Cap are the most human of the Avengers I think. They are the warmest of the crew. Ant-man is a shlub. I loved him, but then again Paul Rudd can do little wrong with me.
Except the premise of this is that Cap the traditional pro merica/govt superhero and iron-man the traditional rebel have their roles reversed. It's an interesting reflection on modern politics as well as the superomp. Have to say having watched the Marvel films a few times each that I totally changed my mind on Captain America. Started with a mweh attitude to the character but then found that he's been the most interesting in terms of development. They've tried to do it with Iron Man but it doesn't feel as genuine. Probably because outside of the avenger films the stand alone sequels were ****e... Looking forward to Black Panther..Thought spidey looked awful in the trailer but apparently he's great in this. And Elizabeth Olson and Scarlett Johanson phoaawr...lol
I like Hawkeye as the mortal man counterpoint to the godlike others...his purpose in the avengers films after all.
yes I think that is a good juxtaposition Captain amserica is a gahs comic and cartoon show back way back when. And the first movie wasn't great. He started as straight man almost to iron man but they've been developing towards this story for a while. Captain was the one who escaped shield HQ in last avengers for example. thats what helps marvel. they are strategically developing it over multiple franchises. Iron man issue is he's getting old...
Completely the same. Was never in to the character to be honest. I thought a Character called "Captain America" was a little on the nose, and his movie would be full of the same BS patriotic garbage we got in Independance Day and what not. And when they announced Chris Evans, who had played the ridiculous Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four, would be playing him, I was like "Ugh, this is gonna be utter ****e". But no......CA is BY FAR the best of the Marvel Movie Superheroes, and his first two movies were the best ones. And Civil War looks like it might make it 3! And agreed on Olsen and Johannson
I really liked it. it was different from the others. And Hugo Weaving was a great Red Skull. The worst of the Marvel films so far have been Iron man 2 and the first Thor movie. They were still okay but the worst 2. Thor: Dark World was an improvement. I like Hemsworth as Thor, he looks and acts the part, but they need to come up with a decent plot for his character in the standalone films, hopefully Ragnarok will be better.
Oh btw, Hulk is gonna be with Thor in the Ragnarok movie, off world, doing stuff, which will explain both their absences from Civil War. Also those two would be a bit too destructive in Civil War. Basically whoever got Hulk on their side would win
The one thing they did do was take the ridiculous wings off his helmet. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image I mean where do you go from there..... I have to say they toned it down and even made fun of it in the first or second movie? They've played the super soldier part more than the somehow invincible shield which is a wee bit like... cmon where'd you find that sort of thing. They've gradually pushed him towards anti authority which is well done IMO. its not just a hey this is stupid he'd never do this moment after shield turned on them.
