Fulham were already up for two awards with Moussa Dembele among the nominees for Young Player of the Year and The Club in contention for Family Club of the Year. And now a third has been added:

All will be revealed at the Football League ceremony this coming Sunday. Wonder if Gentleman Jim will be giving a live commentary?

With the season we've had in terms of league position, it's going some that we had someone up for player of the year and young player. If only we could realistically hope to keep hold of both of them. I think Ross will still be here come August, but I can't help but think that if Dembele was going to sign another contract he'd have done it by now.

And whacks of recent reports that The Dark Side are interested. Here's one link:

Wouldn't seem a very wise move for him given how seldom they play their youngsters in the the first team; and definitely that's a 'never' until the last few weeks. Plus a new Coach coming in in the summer.

Apparently Moussa was wined and dined (well, feted anyway) at their home game last weekend and is allegedly being lined-up for a huge wage rise. And, at the same time, based on some sort of compensation calculation, we'd get £8.5m.

Suspicious journo stuff of course, but on yesterday's performance I'd bite off the Dark Side's hand for anything approaching that fee. Like in many games of late, Dembele was good boy (decent strong runs), bad boy (greedy and no awareness of others). He has an awful lot to learn about positional play as well and right now he's not going to get the opportunity to improve at Fulham. Much better for both to move on.

Agree Cottager, and if we could add to that fee by moving on the disinterested and under achievers
we would have a decent transfer pot to play with.
